No Worries, Mate is the journal of a modern-day swagman on a manly adventure in the land down under. Follow his manful exploits as he closes the pubs of Sydney, tramps about the Blue Mountains of New South Wales, cruises Victoria''s Great Ocean Road, searches for the elusive Tasmanian devil, surfs the shores of Queensland, dives along the Great Barrier Reef, explores Kakadu National Park in the Northern Territory, and as he manfully climbs Ayers Rock. Follow him also as he hones his manly virtues on the beach, around the barbie, at the track and in the Australian Outback. Needless to say, his are feats seldom seen in these, less than manful times.

Private Investigator Sam Marlowe was enjoying a dry martini at his usual bar in North Beach. He then got a call from Cosette, a dazzling dame who was nothing but trouble. As a man once burned, he knew he should stay away from her. However, as a PI he was interested in what she had to say.

Cosettes friend, an exotic dancer in San Francisco, was murdered in Washington Square. Two underage girls from the Broadway strip joints also went missing at the same time. Sam suspected a connection between these crimes. Before he knew it, he was embroiled in the sordid underbelly of the citys sex trade.

Sam runs into opposition from corrupt cops and city officials who dont want him conducting his investigation. But despite being followed by hired goons every step of the way, nothing can dissuade this hard-boiled detective from closing a case.

This mystery also includes Sams remembrances of previous cases, accounts of San Franciscos historical figures, observations of city life, and walking tours covering the storys locations.

PRIVATE INVESTIGATOR SAM MARLOWE travels to Paris in search of the Modern world, a valuable object that may or may not have gone missing. On the Right Bank, the philosophical investigator Honor de Balzac leads Sam through the French cultural experience of the last five centuries while instructing him on the art of becoming a raconteur, a teller of tales.

Sam must then make sense of postmodern Paris, a confusing labyrinth devoid of the usual signposts that normally direct Western Civilization. On the Left Bank, he meets another philosophical investigator, Marcel Proust, who guides him along the corridors of existentialist thought while instructing him on the art of becoming a flneur, a spectator of life.

During his investigation Sam encounters numerous Francophile historians and philosophers, as well as many writers and characters of French literature. The story is much like the menu at a fine French restaurant, with the first-time guest longing to sample all the exquisite dishes before making a final choice. Fortunately, the diner can taste that very special dish on another visit to Caf Philosophique. Bon Apptit!
