In God, the Substance of All Form, Goldsmith establishes the mystical truth that God is the reality, the divine consciousness of our being, and that the purpose of the spiritual life is to bring us to the fullness of that realization. He teaches that we can come to this realization through meditation, in which we can gain a conscious awareness of the presence and power of God. The very object of a spiritual path, the author explains, is to experience the truth that I and my Father are one. Goldsmith clearly explains that power, substance and life are never in any effect, but always in that which produces the effect. He goes on to show that this Consciousness, this Spirit that we truly are, is the substance of all spiritual form, and takes us deeply into that truth: We have said that God is the substance of all form, that God is the reality of all form, the substance and reality of all effect. Are we then to understand God as the substance of the body, trees, flowers, sun, moon, stars, and all that we cognize with the material senses? No, this is a spiritual universe. It is true that God is the substance of all form: God is the substance of your very body and of all creation; but remember, when I see you, that is, when I see your body or when I see the trees or flowers, I am not seeing God s creation I am not seeing the spiritual universe I am seeing only a finite material concept of it. This means that the only universe there is, is the real universe, and the only body there is, is the real body, but what I am seeing is my concept of them. Therefore, the only unreality about them is in my false concept of them. With the finely honed skill of a master teacher, Goldsmith elaborates on this challenging principle, using it to explain how spiritual healing work is done, and emphasizing that a healing consciousness is one that is consciously aware of the perfection that already exists, despite any appearance. He answers age-old questions about death, the nature of the material world, and the relationship between consciousness and experience. He reveals how our conscious awareness of these truths can ensure a life of harmony, peace, abundance, and wholeness. Once we have attained the consciousness of the truth of our identity, he says, we need take no thought for things. We can relax and rely on God, individual consciousness, the substance of all form.

More than thirty books have been compiled from Joel S. Goldsmith's tape-recorded lectures and class work, feeding a worldwide student body which continues to practice and preserve his work. THE FOUNDATION OF MYSTICISM is the unedited transcription of Joel Goldsmith's healing lessons given in Hawaii in 1959. The material from these lessons provides students an excellent introduction to spiritual healing and also includes his 1955 Kailua Study transcripts of the principles found on the Hawaiian Healing tapes. As stated in the introduction by Allen Marsh, “The fulfillment of his ministry is a ceaseless giving of wisdom, an outpouring of truth that, like a waterfall, cascades into the endless river of human existence. Through the Infinite Way message, the grace that characterized Joel's life floods ours.” Eckhart Tolle, Author of The Power of Now: “A new generation of mature seekers, receptive to spiritual truth, is now discovering Joel Goldsmith's teachings, which have lost none of their relevance, aliveness and power. I foresee that those teachings will reach and impact even more people in the 21st century than during his lifetime. Joel Goldsmith's inspired and profoundly inspiring books represent a vital contribution to the spiritual awakening of humanity.” Marianne Williamson, Author of The Gift of Change: "Joel Goldsmith has opened a door in my soul. He has helped me immeasurably in my search for peace."

This is a guidebook to attainment of inner peace and joy for those who are seeking a way to live a full and complete life here and now. How the mind can transcend its apparent limitations and become what it is intended to be, an instrument for the free flowing of the Spirit, is specifically explained by the author in his description of the resources available in meditation. Goldsmith, author of Realization of Oneness and Beyond Words and Thoughts, here helps those who are seriously seeking a centre of self and a personal answer to the meaning of God in everyday living. Readers of this book will find that a door will open to a fuller, more meaningful existence. It will help to eliminate confusion and lack of direction, which are obstacles to man's achieving his highest potentialities. This is not a work for the visionary seeking escape from the world. This is a work for persons who are seeking a way to live the contemplative life in the midst of the world.

Jesus said, It is written that man does not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God, and he told us to abide in the word and let the word abide in you. What is this word and what does it mean to abide in it? This is the key question that Joel Goldsmith answers in Living by the Word. Throughout the book, Goldsmith considers specific Scriptural passages and takes the reader far beyond their literal sense to unveil their inner spiritual meaning. He gives thorough and practical instruction about how to work with Bible passages to discern their depth and live by them. When we study and search the scriptures, Goldsmith says, we are fed as never before; we are guided, directed, and protected as never before; but always in direct proportion as we make these passages of scripture our daily bread. Throughout all the Infinite Way writings, Goldsmith asserts that all discord in life is the result of man s sense of separation from God, and that coming into the realization that I and the Father are one is the liberating influence. In Living by the Word, he shows the reader how Scripture can play an important role in that journey back to our true Self. As he says, The way to oneness, to conscious union with God, is through the word of God. It is the word of God maintained in consciousness, lived with, dwelt upon, and abided in that ultimately restores that conscious union. By working with inspirational Bible passages and applying them in our daily experience, our mind begins to lose its spiritual ignorance and becomes illumined, and the outer experience of life becomes harmonious. Goldsmith explains that the spiritual promises in Scripture apply to us only when we are in our spiritual oneness with God and receive them as impartations from within. In a word of encouragement to engage in the valuable practice of Scriptural study, Goldsmith says, The Bible and the truths of the Bible will not do anything for you in a book ... These Bible texts begin to work for you only after you have moved them out of the books into your consciousness, dwelt on them, pondered them ... and let them take root and grow. Living by the Word shows readers how to do just that.

There are two ways of life open to a person here on earth, says Joel Goldsmith in Living the Illumined Life. There is the human way, the way of the unillumined, and there is the spiritual way, the way of the illumined. What is the difference? The unillumined individual is living by and through his own powers, wisdom, and strength, Goldsmith explains. It is a life of toil, effort, and worry, often limited in education, limited in experience, limited in background, or limited in finances. The illumined individual is living in conscious awareness of an indwelling Presence, Being, Power. He has realized that he is not living his life alone: I live, yet not I; this spirit of the Lord God which is upon me is living my life. This is a life of infinite capacity and complete freedom. Goldsmith boldly asks the reader: Do you believe that the spirit of God dwells in you? Do you believe there is an indwelling Christ in you? Do you believe that you are the temple of God? Do you believe that you can do all things through Christ that dwells in you? If you cannot answer in the affirmative, he says, you are still the unillumined. But, he encourages, you are the one who can change that. For those who are inspired to make the transition and live life as one of the illumined, Living the Illumined Life clearly lays out the principles and practices that can purify consciousness and lift the sincere seeker to the awareness of the Presence and Power within. Then as illumination comes, he can walk free and unfettered, without fear, by Grace.

Most truth students know the Bible passage Take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Yet although many believe they sincerely seek the kingdom of God, they do not experience the added things. Why? Joel Goldsmith s book Seek Ye First illumines the inner, true meaning of that familiar Bible passage in unique way that will elicit a resounding A-ha! in those who have struggled to understand it. Goldsmith says that we do not experience the fruitage of the biblical promise because we hold onto erroneous concepts of God and prayer. We pray to God for things or we try to attain them through mental work. Before we can experience the grace of the added things, he says, we must first correct our concepts. Goldsmith proceeds to re-educate the reader on the nature of God and the nature of prayer as he masterfully goes through the spiritual principles and practices revealed in The Infinite Way. The author asserts, God s grace can reach us only as we are attuned to the kingdom of God within. Emphasizing that meditation is the way to come into this spiritual attunement, he reveals the secret: we must not go into meditation for anything. We must not go to God for health, wealth, companionship, or a home. We must have no material motive because this is the almost insurmountable barrier to God-realization. We must seek only illumination, the experience of the Christ within. Only when you can stop taking thought for your life, stop praying to a Santa-Claus-God with promises to be good if only He will deliver, will you attain. While this may seem very abstract at first, Goldsmith reminds us that what takes place in our inner world governs our outer world. After we have found that inner Grace and made our inner contact, we awake and find that all things have been added unto us, for the illumined mind is the substance of fulfillment at every level of our existence even the most practical.

In this captivating book, Joel Goldsmith addresses a difficult problem encountered by many spiritual seekers. You go from one truth to another and, if you are at all like most persons, you will someday say to yourself, Well, I know all the truth that is to be known, but it doesn t seem to do much for me. The reason for that, says Goldsmith, is that so far it has been only an intellectual acceptance of the truth: it has not been the spiritual discernment of it. It has not been an inner conviction; it has not come with spiritual power to make itself alive. Spiritual Discernment is a gift to any truth student who wants to go beyond intellectual understanding. Here Goldsmith is at his best, guiding the reader in how to develop the spiritual discernment that carries with it spiritual power. We build the capacity of spiritual discernment, he says, as we agree that God s universe is wholly good and wholly spiritual. With our eyes we cannot believe this, nor with our ears. Our mind will never convince us of this, because our mind is seeing, hearing, tasting, touching, and smelling too much of evil. Therefore, we must be still; we must attain quietness and peace and the ability to live in that attitude so that instead of indulging our likes and dislikes, instead of judging by appearances, we let the spiritual faculty within us discern the nature of that which is appearing to us and being revealed to us. Spiritual discernment is a capacity that we all have, but which lies buried deep and dormant within us due to the deadening human legacy of centuries of material experience. Spiritual Discernment goes a long way in helping the dedicated seeker liberate his capacity for spiritual discernment and bring it into its fullness. As the inner faculty of discernment is developed, Goldsmith asserts, we begin to see spiritually, hear spiritually, and know spiritually, and in proportion as we develop the power of spiritual discernment, is everyone who comes within range of our consciousness blessed.

A MESSAGE FOR THE AGES continues the exploration of the spiritual principles revealed by Joel Goldsmith. It includes the chapter, "Infinite Way Protective Work." This volume introduces a special section on teaching the Infinite Way message, which will appeal to all students of Joel Goldsmith.

I STAND ON HOLY GROUND, the sixth book in an eleven volume series, is compiled from the 1976 monthly "Letters of Joel S. Goldsmith". Picking up where the fifth volume, "A Message for the Ages", left off, this book takes up what it means to live by spiritual principles. Goldsmith says over and over again that nothing takes place outside of consciousness. "That which I am seeking I am". But he reminds his readers that to experience this as a way of life you must first develop your consciousness. The degree to which you develop your consciousness will determine your outward life, the life of the body, the life of the purse and the life you experience in your community and family.” Among topics covered in this book about developing spiritual consciousness are: practising the Presence, meditation as the door to fulfilment, spiritual supply and living by grace and self-purification. This is a volume of great depth which is at the same time a practical guide about attaining spiritual freedom and the realisation of oneness.

God Formed Us for His Glory is a beautiful portrayal of our true identity. Goldsmith asks Do we know our true identity? Do we know who we are, for therein lies the secret. Are we human beings? Are we sinners? Are we mortal? Is that our identity or is that a mistaken concept of ourselves which we must outgrow, outlive, and outlearn? Goldsmith says that realizing our true identity and rightful heritage will set us free to live joyous and fulfilling lives, and he reveals ways to uncover and express the beauty and splendor that is our true Being. The main way to release this true I within us, Goldsmith says, is through meditation. The experience of meditation ultimately becomes an individual one. You, yourself have to come to a place within you where a release comes, where there is an awareness of an inner contact. Then there are signs following: harmony, healing and all good. This is grace, but without that contact with our true Self, grace cannot flow to us. Have you ever stopped to realize that God formed us for His Glory? Goldsmith asks. You would think we made ourselves, the way we worry about ourselves. God formed us for His purpose and His plan. God Formed Us for His Glory brings the spiritual seeker home to that truth.

The Only Freedom reveals the possibility of attaining a state of permanent freedom. It is not the freedom we experience when we recover from some disease, for in that state we always know or expect that some other ailment can afflict us. It is not the freedom from lack that a wonderful new job or large inheritance may bring, for these also can fail us. The freedom described in The Only Freedom is a freedom already within us, but which can be reached only through the discipline of knowing the truth the truth about God, man, and the nature of error and standing firmly in the principles behind these truths. As Goldsmith says, If we are not abiding in the Word and letting the Word abide in us, all the evils of this world can come near our dwelling place. Throughout this book Goldsmith shows us how to find the liberty of the sons of God within ourselves. He says that it may not be easy, but that freedom and fulfillment will be the end result: "Wherever there is a realization of God, man is given his freedom, not only spiritual freedom, but a spiritual freedom which becomes evident as physical, mental, moral and financial freedom."

Many people find it difficult to attain a balance between living by meditation and Grace and living effectively in the world, feeling that they have to choose between them. OUR SPIRITUAL RESOURCES makes it clear that we do not have to retire from the world, for our daily responsibilities themselves can spur us on to spiritual unfoldment. In fact, says Goldsmith, meeting everyday problems and responsibilities through the practice of spiritual principles is a more effective way of attaining a realized consciousness of oneness than withdrawing from the world. Problems and situations become opportunities for us to practice applying spiritual principles and access our spiritual resources. In OUR SPIRITUAL RESOURCES, Goldsmith blends deep spiritual wisdom with a realistic understanding of the practicalities of daily living, making it a textbook for living in the world without being of it. He shows the reader how living in harmony with the eternal principles of spiritual living and spiritual healing can transform every aspect of life physical, financial, social, governmental and spiritual. The truth of the matter, says Goldsmith, is that there is nothing more practical, progressive, or prosperous than a life lived in accordance with the Spirit. In fact, he reveals, the substance of everything necessary to your experience is already within your own being and ready to unfold naturally as it becomes necessary to you, because the completeness and perfection of your life is already established within you as essence or substance, and it appears outwardly as form. Your part is to learn to sit in your quiet moments of meditation, realizing this completeness and understanding that the only barrier to the expression of perfection is the belief in two powers. Relax in the awareness that within you is the fulfillment of life, and with this recognition the flow begins. OUR SPIRITUAL RESOURCES is a light-filled guide to the treasure of spiritual resources available to us and a guide to accessing them through praying correctly, understanding the true nature of mind and body, living by meditation, bringing God into daily experience, and much more. "Joel Goldsmith has opened a door in my soul. He has helped me immeasurably in my search for peace." – Marianne Williamson, Author of The Gift of Change “I have an 8x10 picture of Joel Goldsmith on my writing table. I feel his presence with me everyday . . . I consider Joel to be one of my most important teachers. His wisdom guides me in all of my work.” – Wayne Dyer, Author of The Power of Intention

For twelve years, Joel S. Goldsmith had been searching for the way to live a truly spiritual life without retreating from the world. Often sensing he was on the verge of discovery, it remained quietly elusive. Still the quest continued and on the morning of March 29, 1964, as he awakened on the island of Maui, the secret revealed itself in a flood of gradual unfoldments. The results of this spiritual discovery are now in the pages of Living Between Two Worlds. Eckhart Tolle, Author of The Power of Now: “Joel Goldsmith’s profoundly inspiring books represent a vital contribution to the spiritual awakening of humanity.” Wayne Dyer, Author of The Power of Intention: “I have an 8 x 10 picture of Joel Goldsmith on my writing table. I feel his presence with me everyday . . . I consider Joel to be one of my most important teachers. His wisdom guides me in all of my work.” Marianne Williamson, Author of The Gift of Change: “Joel Goldsmith has opened a door in my soul. He has helped me immeasurably in my search for peace.”

'Except the Lord build the house, they labor in vain that build it,' (Psalm 127) so says the Psalmist and so teaches Joel Goldsmith. Goldsmith gives direct, clear teachings of a path that can lead the student to the "house built without hands, eternal in the heavens." Entrance to this house, this consciousness, comes through the Grace of God. Materialism must be surmounted before we can enter this fourth dimensional consciousness which transcends time and space. Only then can we become consciously aware of God's purpose for ourselves and others.
