Episode two - DESTROYING WORLDS
We all want to be free, true or false?Obviously it is true. Or is it?What if the price of freedom is too great?
"The price of liberty is eternal vigilance."But can we all be vigilant eternally?Easier if someone else is vigilant for you?Even if the price is loss of liberty?
Are you able to be eternally vigilant? Are you able to look out for yourself? What if you are not?
What if you are, but others are not? What if they think they are, but you know they are not?Would you let them suffer in freedom?Would you take away their freedom for their own safety? What would you do?Who would you be?
Would you be Rudi Kingston, and prefer freedom to safety?Would you be Lady Ivana, and prefer safety to freedom?Would you be Scylla Daer, and believe in forcing the weak to be free?Would you be Lord Balari, and believe in protecting the weak from freedom?Would you be Jorel Kable, and fail to see the conflict?Would you be Wispy, and become the conflict?
Who would you be?What would you do?

What does it mean to have a Passion for Dead Leaves? It means to love what is old.To love what is past.To love what is dead.
But it can mean more than that.It can mean to resent the new.To fear the future. To believe that change is bad.
It can mean to oppose all change. To oppose developments that change old environments. To oppose fashions that change old traditions. To oppose new ideas that change old values. To believe that old was good and new is bad.
But is that right or wrong?Change can be for the worse.New developments can destroy what was worth keeping.New fashions can destroy good traditions.New ideas can be dangerous or stupid.
Guido Broccoli and Marcel Donkova believe in the new. They have no Passion for Dead Leaves.Scylla Daer and Gudrun Donkova believe in the old. They do have a Passion for Dead Leaves.

There were numerous tribes scattered all across theUnited States long before they were discovered by foreigners The whiteman. The period of the Indians was longwhen they lived within the confinement of the lands they called home. Theselands that they cherished, their beliefs they cherished. They were one with thealmighty one and free for hundreds of years but in a blink of an eye, they lostit all. They were hunted and annihilated ridiculed and persecuted. They were arace indifferent to us but they were a race the foreigners on their landsdidn''t want and by what ever means possible they meant to disperse these peoplefrom their homes and take from them everything they owned and they did justthat.
When Christopher Columbus born 1451 the son of DomenioColumbus stepped ashore on American soil on the 12th October 1492 everythingchanged for the Indians. By the time DeSota and Ponce De Leon arrived searching for gold and slaves many an Indian haddied at their hands. At this time therewere supposedly some 10 million Indians inhabiting the land but after threecenturies this number was reduced by 90%. The English arrived then the Frenchand the Dutch every Sovereign wanted apiece of the land to claim as their own and the Indians succumbed to diseasesimported by the whites. Famine and warfare were directed at them as the whitepeople pushed them further and further away from their own lands so they couldclaim and prosper by them.
Before 1600 there were about one million Indians wholived north of the Rio Grande speaking some 2,000 languages but most of theselanguages are dead now. These people lived mainly of the land growing maize, fishing and hunting to feed their people. When the Europeans arrived that allchanged and destruction quickly followed as these intruders wanting what theIndians had and what was on their lands.
In New England the tribes were hit by diseasesbrought by the white men which wiped out thousands. The Indian people werecheated by the Quakers, disgraced by the Iroquois and defeated by the Dutch inthe Esopus wars of 1660. They never stood a chance against these people andhundred''s of years later they still didn''t stand a chance.
By 1840 all the Eastern tribes, those that hadsurvived annihilation were forcibly removed to Indian territory west of theMississippi.
There are no words which could compensate for thesuffering over the years of these people, the Native Americans, the Indians. These people who were pushed and shoved all over the United States, starved andmurdered, beaten and humiliated but they are growing stronger. They arereclaiming their heritage and people are listening. To many lies were told, tomany treaties broken. Many of the tribes who lived in the United States beforetheir exodus to Indian Lands or their extinction can be found at the back ofthis book. This list may not fully represent all the tribes which inhabited theland over the period. There are many long forgotten names of tribes who werecompletely obliterated over the years when peace was hard to come by. Thetribes listed though do represent a vast majority of the Indians living in theUnited States during the period before the white man caused some of them to beextinct.
There were many tales of greed throughout theperiod. Many of the tribes included in this book suffered harshly at the handsof soldiers. The same soldiers the Government had sent to protect them, when infact, all they did was abuse them for their own ends and for greed and in somecases glory.
The subject of the Native American Indian has alwaysbeen a touchy one. At times they have been overlooked. At times they have beenportrayed as the "savages",We have found out over the years that this was not so in many cases. Alarge injustice was dealt to these people. The real history of these peoplelike many other events has been swept under the American carpet so it is easierto forget whose lands you now live on. Whose blood lies dried in the earth.Whose bones are scattered, some not in peace as even in death some archeologistis looking for artifact''s, they do not care if the ground is sacred or not. TheIndians paid their price to live upon this earth, let their spirits go free.
Hard to believe, not really considering the recordof the white settlers and the forcible removal of the Indians from their landsespecially when Gold was found. Eyes lit up, greed set in and murder began.
Yes their story has been written before and itprobably will be again for there is a never ending quest for truth and justicefor these people, the real first Americans who we seem to overlook at times, for they are the indigenous people.

FOREWORD
OnSeptember 11, 2001, Muslim terroristslaunched an attack on the United States to punish it for being what Osamabin Laden considered the land of the infidels! In fact, this attack was anattack on the entire Western world and, even more important, it was an attackon Western civilization, the underlying objective being to take civilizationback fourteen hundred years to a time of great glory for the Islamic world.
Inthe wake of the attack by young Muslim extremists, which resulted in the collapseof the twin towers of the World Trade Center in Manhattan, our leadersattempted to assure us that the terrorists did not represent the entire Muslimworld. It was said that they were the actions of a minority, of an extremefringe group. It was, and continues to be, troubling, however, that we haveheard very little strong condemnation coming from the supposed moderate Muslimcommunity. Who are these moderates? Why have they not spoken out morevociferously? Do they really exist? When will they speak out with moralindignation? Indeed, will they ever?
Formost Westerners Islam is thought to be just another world religion, equal toChristianity and Judaism. But is this really the case? Upon closer study, Islamseems to be far different from the other two religions. Certainly no one wouldaccuse Muslims of being tolerant, non-judgmental, non-violent or peace-loving!While Muslims have been allowed to build hundreds of mosques in Westerncountries, Christian churches may only rarely be built, if ever, in Muslimcountries! Indeed in some Muslim countries such as the Sudan, it is official government policy to demolishchurches! In addition, it is difficult to believe that any world religion wouldadvocate treating women as second-class citizens, and actually get away withit!
Theconcept of brotherhood in Islam is strong. The posture advocated by ProphetMohammed in the Koran toward non-Muslims, however, is to seek them out andannihilate them. The phenomenon of suicide bombers is at once both pathetic andchilling. On the one hand, it is pathetic that young Muslims are taught thatthey can gain entrance into paradise by taking peoples lives in such agruesome manner. Carnal pleasures, of course, await the males upon entranceinto heaven! On the other hand, it is chilling to think that there are anypeople living in the 21st century ready to teach and encourage suchsavagery. What is the supposed theological justification for holding to suchbeliefs? Indeed, is there any such thing in Islam as theology in which thetenets of the faith are examined critically? Isnt it the case, rather, thatthe teachings of Prophet Mohammed are accepted literally, and without question?
Inhis book, The Dawning of a New Dark Age,Mark Alexander explores these questions, and often finds disturbing answers.Unlike many authors on the subject, Mark actually lived and worked amongMuslims for many years; so he has first-hand knowledge of the religion andculture. While on his tours of duty in the Middle East, Mark immersed himself in Islam and Arabic culture, studying thereligion both from Occidental and Oriental perspectives. He familiarizedhimself not only with the Koran, but also with the beliefs and attitudes ofMuslims in the street. This experience has given him unusually clear insightsinto the aspirations of the Muslim world. Marks conclusions will not becomforting to those who would like to believe that the long-term threat to theWest is limited to the aspirations of a few fundamentalist terrorists.

Written by a colleague: Alpha is a tremendous worldwide hit, yet most groups deploying it will - at times - be somewhat disappointed by the amount of resulting fruit. Holy Trinity Brompton readily acknowledges this.
Even groups faithfully adhering to the official advice that has so far been published can still find many non-Christian attendees disappearing during, or shortly after, the program. Proven Alpha Course Tips identifies several previously unrecognized causes of this problem and has been created to help every group using Alpha to see much greater fruit.
"Very well written and laid out.... Very well researched and extremely informative. It''''s positive and a manageable size.... It''''s a ''''must read''''" - Phil Phillimore, Alpha course leader
Drawing on profound knowledge of the Alpha resources and interviews with Nicky Gumbel, John Fairhaven has created a most practical work. Proven Alpha Course Tips will encourage and excite readers with its unique insights.
In view of the substantial amount of time and effort spent implementing each program - and on getting unbelievers to attend them - this book represents a very wise acquisition. Written by someone who cares passionately about his subject, the material in this new volume will be of great benefit to every individual in a group running any type of Alpha course.
