EFT for Meditation, by lifelong meditators and certified EFT practitioners Carol E. Crenshaw and Charles B. Crenshaw Jr., combines EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) tapping with meditation for the enhancement of both modalities. Those who meditate know that many obstacles to calming the mind and relaxing the body arise during meditation. EFT can help clear those obstacles by releasing doubts, fears, and emotional disturbances, enabling the meditator to gain the full body-mind-spirit benefits of meditation. Likewise, meditation facilitates the EFT process by bringing the contents of the unconscious to the surface, exposing the limiting beliefs and disturbing memories that are hindering one’s living to one’s full potential. Identifying such obstacles to full potential is integral to EFT, and meditation can speed the process. EFT for Meditation, unique among books on meditation or on EFT, has equal value for advanced meditators, beginning meditators, those with advanced EFT skills, and those learning or new to EFT. Hundreds of studies show the healing benefits of meditation and EFT when practiced alone. Combining both produces a powerfully transformative effect.

Driven by her passionate desire to serve, psychologist Connie Louie-Handelman joined the US Army at the age of 56. Disturbed by the high rates of PTSD and suicide among warriors, she wanted to make a difference. After training, she was deployed at a forward operating base in the hot and dusty plains of Kandahar, Afghanistan. There she found soldiers fighting more than the enemies they encountered in the battlefield. The casualty rate from invisible enemies like anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and fear was high. When improvised explosive devices killed or wounded warriors near the base, she would journey "outside the wire" to units that were under attack. Besides their shattering experiences on the battlefield, many warriors were also locked in domestic tragedies, with spouses having affairs or wanting divorces, or children going astray. Connie and her fellow mental health professionals faced enormous obstacles as they treated their patients. Basic supplies were scarce and they worked out of tiny spaces where privacy was impossible. Many warriors were rotating through different duty stations and Connie often had only one session to help them before they moved on. Besides her conventional psychological training, Connie had a "secret weapon" for treating trauma. Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) combines elements of cognitive therapy with acupressure, in the form of fingertip tapping on acupuncture points. She describes how she used EFT to treat PTSD, anger, insomnia, depression, and stress. Many of her patients calmed down within a few minutes of tapping and were able to make substantial progress, often in just a single session. They learned EFT quickly and many referred their buddies. In this lucid and compelling account, she shares the knowledge she gained while treating 199 warriors over a total of 574 sessions. She went on to become a passionate advocate for EFT as well as work for the Veterans Administration.

The cutting edge of medicine today is not to be found in invasive therapies like drugs and surgeries. It is in the disciplines that used to be regarded as "soft" medicine: prayer, intention, energy healing, acupressure, and similar therapies. Overwhelming evidence from hundreds of scientific studies are showing that these safe, non-invasive approaches are often more effective, sometimes many times more effective, than conventional medicine. Two of the pioneers in the field, Dr. Norman Shealy, founder of the American Holistic Medical Association and world-famous neurosurgeon, and Dr. Dawson Church, one of the foremost writers and researchers in vibrational healing, and the editor or author of many books on the subject, explain the fundamentals of energy medicine, its many applications to common ailments, and the latest scientific research.

Each and every one of us grapples with our own highly personal mythology-the psychic force that allows us to weave the fragments of our experience into coherent story. These mythologies shape our every thought, perception, and action, helping us to feel safe and secure in our identities. But when our personal mythologies do not grow and change along with us, we find ourselves stuck in self-defeating life patterns. In Personal Mythology, David Feinstein, Ph.D., and Stanley Krippner, Ph.D., hailed by Jean Houston as "masters of the geography of the inscapes," provide a series of detailed exercises developed over a combined 80 years of clinical practice, personal development workshops, and teaching on psychological topics. Using ritual, dreams, and imagination to liberate you from the mythologies of your childhood and culture, the 12-week course will ignite the mystery of a transformed inner life into authentic outer expression. This third edition of a life-changing classic has been revised to include a new Support Guide combining their ground-breaking model for incorporating Energy Psychology into the process of personal transformation.

Relationships can be heaven--or hell. They can take us to the most sublime and happy states, or trap us in endless cycles of misery. Dawson Church has been dedicated for many years to helping people shift their relationships to create warm and deep emotional intimacy. As a scientific researcher, he''s investigated which techniques really work to truly make love flourish. These tools, such as mindfulness, EFT tapping, and heart coherence, are surprisingly quick and easy to learn, yet produce profound relationship shifts. In this book, he explains how our hormones and biology drive our behavior and actually sabotage long-term relationships despite our best intentions. He then guides the reader into creating deep and lasting change. If you''re ready for a radically different experience, and a whole new relationship future, this book is for you.
