The true story of the life of a rural funeral director from birth to professional success to failure in multiple marriages Everyone who lives sixty-six plus years has a story to tell. This is mine! My parents lived during an important and difficult period in the history of our country. The Great Depression changed people and changed the way they worked and raised their families. My Daddy worked hard and raised his children to work hard. This is my story of how I grew up under my parents' notions and ideas and how I was blessed to know at an early age what direction my life would take professionally and how that carried me through my entire life. I have tried to portray some of those individuals honestly and give a true accounting of how each and every one of them affected me and my life. My life was not perfect-far from it. I made a lot of mistakes along the way and I have admitted them (well some of them). There were funny events, events that didn't seem funny at the time, but I reflect on them and can now see the humor. I had a lot of success and watched what I had worked so hard to achieve get ripped apart and taken down. My personal life has been rocky at times, but by the grace of God and those people on Earth who believed in me, I came through it all. I have written this book as an accounting of my birth, my childhood, and how I became a funeral director, a father, and a husband (five times).

The life of a woman gets turned around when she finds her husband is not who she thought he was. She engages her childhood friend, who is a private investigator, to help her unravel what has happened to her husband.

As children they read mystery books. They graduated to working for the people in town. Then they expanded to working around the country. As they step into this latest episode, they interview many people, and they become victims of an attacker who sends their van rolling over and off the road.

Hospitalized, they are befriended by a doctor who helps them elude their enemy. In the course of their mystery, they have to go into dark caves with guards throughout. There are also creatures in the caves that keep them on their toes.

The duo does such an outstanding job that the Federal Bureau of Investigations hears of their exploits and hires them to trap the gang, which is operating around the country. They go back into the caves where the gang is based to gather information about the gang’s operations and its leaders. The FBI trains the couple and gives them lightweight equipment, plus bugs to enlighten them more about the illicit activities.

They are led on an ever-escalating adventure.

Fire burns, destroys the land. Air caresses where sky meets sand. Water washes away our sin. Earth lies strong, our nation's skin. But deep in the shadows, a power creeps. The Void it is called, and many secrets it keeps.  The Elementals have ruled over the land of Daevarith for all of the kingdom's recorded history. The Fire Elementals hold strong to the top of the social hierarchy, followed by their counterparts, the Water Elementals, then the Earth, and finally Air. Those deemed powerless by Placement, a team funded by the Daevarithian government to place each person in their proper class, fall to the very bottom of the chain and are called Blanks.  Fourteen-year-old Arcana Mason, a Firehead as they are not so endearingly called, was born to two of the highest regarded Fire Elementals in all of the land and has lived a life of luxury. The best food, the best clothing, the best education—only the finest things in life, and they're simply handed to her on a shiny silver platter. Yet when she and her private tutor, an Earth Elemental by the name of Gilligan Troye, make a discovery while analyzing an old Blanks records from Placement itself, privileged Arcana will stop at nothing to discover the meaning behind their findings, even if that makes her a target for those dedicated to keeping the secret hidden.  What if the whispers are all true? What if the old folk legends aren't as fantastical as they might have seemed? A power much greater than even that of the Fire users may be lurking in the shadows of the impoverished, the powerless, and Arcana is determined to find it, regardless of the costs.

Traveling 101 is a collection of humorous and true renditions of many of the trips the Hladys have been on over a twenty-year span. These stories encompass travel across the United States, Mexico, and Germany, and they include camping, skiing, and over-the-road trips, taking place in hotels, timeshares, and bed and breakfasts.

Other readers of Traveling 101 have said—

“I will NEVER go on a trip with you two—too much excitement!”

“My wife and I both laughed out loud while reading Traveling 101.”

“My, you have had some adventures!”

“I felt like I was right there.”

“Our vacations are dull compared to yours!”

But if Pam could give one piece of advice to fellow travelers, it would be this: Maintain a sense of humor on trips, give up your expectations, and be flexible.

After discovering her father’s uncle has asked for her to be sent to him to be wed to his neighbor, seventeen-year-old Ella KcKinsey cannot believe her parents mean to do it. She cannot help but feel she is being bartered in some sort of deal involving land and horses. Ella had dreamed of marrying her lifelong friend Cabhan and living near her parents and ten younger siblings in her beloved Ireland. But when it turns out that Cabhan supports the idea, Ella relents and sets sail to America.

Her voyage across the Atlantic in 1897 is filled with enough travails to last her a lifetime, or so Ella believes. Upon getting her feet on terra firma again, she learns that her father’s uncle has passed away and her wayward chaperone abandons her completely. Ella finds herself making her way to western Kentucky with her fiancé, who makes it altogether clear he does not want to marry her, and his older brother, who can at best be described as prickly.

When she arrives at her new home, a homestead founded in 1757 by Aiden Barnett, things begin to look up for Ella. She finds a grand home and horses on acres of pasture as green as Eire. Yet adjusting to her new lifestyle is a bit of a struggle for Ella, and she is certain the Barnett brothers have little use for her there.

Over the coming months, years, and decades, Ella will leave a legacy for the generations of Barnett Irish horsewomen who will in turn become mistress to the homestead after her. Follow Ella in Sweet Love, Ella’s Story as she deals in her own fashion with the joys and heartaches life brings her.

Within the powerful whirlwinds of Indian legends, prejudices, civil war, and murder lives Harriet, a beautiful, young Mashantucket Pequot Indian. While working as a house servant at a local dairy farm, she is brutalized by her employer, Seamus Colin Greene. But soon after, she meets a tall, magnificent Narragansett Indian, Augustus, a farm laborer.

Harriet thinks he’s a braggart, but she eventually falls in love with him. Harriet buries her growing, burning passions toward him, and in the dark of night, tantalizing and forbidden images flash before her eyes.

Untimely deaths, the desertion of Augustus to the Union Army, and the arrest of Mr. Greene eventually lead Harriet to accept a marriage proposal from a red-headed Irishman, Ammon. Nonetheless, Harriet is confused about her feelings.

Should she follow her heart? Or her better judgment?

There are 71 plates and more than 300 illustrations and photographs, most of which are in color.

Seventy percent of all new products introduced in the USA fail and are taken off the market within three years. And these failures come from large companies, many of which are Fortune 500 and advertise with Super Bowl TV commercials. There are a number of reasons these products fail, but perhaps the most common is the lack of or ignoring of Voice of the Customer research.

Lean Ideation is a step-by-step process of developing an idea, including finding the idea if none exists, through commercialization and into the first three years of product life. The goal is to help companies move into the 30% successful range on new products introduced.

The process in Lean Ideation was developed by studying and focusing on two key fronts: 30 years of new product development, and the study of and implementation of the Toyota Production System. Anyone involved with product development will benefit from reading Lean Ideation.

I’m pleased to introduce my book, The Legacy and Its Continuation: From Then to Eternity. This novel introduces a young boy, Kassieu Madeu, who is taken from Ivory Coast to America as a slave and given the name of Joe Henry. This story also tells about his courage to adapt to a new culture and his favor with his master, moving from the field to the house. He later marries a woman named Mary Alice, who is a water girl. And through the years, they have a son named John Henry, who later becomes a blacksmith in Mississippi. As he travels to the South, John Henry marries Kitsie and had 10 children.

Since The Legacy and Its Continuation: From Then to Eternity has such an inspiration on genealogies of historic events, it shall have a great impact on people in every society. The people who read this book will cherish it for its past, present, and future events. This story begins in West Africa’s coastal region and ends up in Jackson, Mississippi. Meanwhile, here is the story that was passed down from generation to generation on my paternal side.

Thanks a lot,Adrian M. Caston

You like to take pictures. Some of the photos you take with your phone turn out pretty good. But now you are ready to get more serious about photography. This is the book for you. You don’t need to plow through hundreds of pages to become an excellent photographer. The best teacher of photography is more photography.

This book will teach you what to look for in a camera, and how to buy one. You will also learn how to evaluate and learn from your photographs, a dash of the fundamentals of composition, and a little technical knowledge just to get started.

This little book may be the most important next step you can take toward developing yourself as a photographer.

What frightens you? Not what makes you jump or squeal, but what causes you to be petrified in silent terror, where you cannot move and you fear for your very soul? What makes your blood chill and run cold, freezing you to the bone?

Whatever you name the object of your terror, it fears Charlie McClure. Imagine a creature unlike any other on Earth, the most powerful humanoid on the planet, who cannot be killed by anything known to mankind. A man of high moral fiber who strives to do what is good and right, yet every so often, he must eat. The issue is that he eats people, for the most part. His body will not accept anything else. If he eats something else, his body rejects it and his hunger takes over, attacking and devouring anyone near him.

This is his story, of how an evil creature can attempt to not be an evil person. This is a story that can change your life. Step inside his world, if your nerve holds up.

This life-changing, exciting, and interesting book, Don’t Give Up: Where There’s Life, There Is Hope, was written by a young man who faced and overcame many difficulties in his life. One major and heartrending event he experienced was hearing these words from his biological mother: “I tried to abort you while you were in my womb.” Those eleven words hit this young man’s confidence and self-worth to society like a bag of bricks. However, he did not allow the startling revelation to keep him down and drive him in the direction of giving up. He used that surprising revelation as fuel for his motivation to success.

Whether you’re lesbian, straight, gay, bisexual, transgendered, or questioning, this book has a powerful message for you about love, sex, and marriage.

The book describes Joanna C. Chestnut’s journey from the hippie days of free love to a conservative philosophy of waiting for marriage. Ms. Chestnut has come to believe that saving sex for marriage enables a couple to get to know each other on an intellectual, emotional, and spiritual level before becoming physically intimate. Jumping into bed on a first or second date, like many couples do today, actually thwarts intimacy on other levels and becomes a substitute for truly getting to know one another. Marriages are much more likely to last when couples put physical intimacy on hold while they discover each other’s heart, mind, and soul. Achieving platonic intimacy before becoming physically intimate elevates the sexual union to the most wonderful sacred experience it was always meant to be.

Metaphorically speaking, do you feel your life is in a drought? A prolonged period of abnormally low-range unhappiness revolving around painful relationships, lost earthly possessions, and friends? Does it seem as if life has stopped delivering levels of excitement? Have all your relationships failed?

That’s exactly what happens in a drought. Rivers stop delivering normal levels of water. Crops fail, animals are affected, and eventually mankind. The woman in chapter four of St. John was in a drought. Her soul was dehydrated. Her heart was depleted. Her emotions were stuck. Yes, she was in a drought—until she encountered Jesus. From the very first sip of His love to the very last drop of her life-changing experience of her encounter with Him, she finally got the rain she was looking for.

By letting Christ into your life, He will become your life changer. Change is God’s rain.

Charlie Dushet (Chet) was amazed how much demand there was for his two-man submersible, especially from the Navy. In the last three weeks, he’d been to San Dablo twice with his sub at the request of Admiral Hawkins, who asks him to secretly recover a Russian weapon that fell overboard from his aircraft carrier. With the help of two female divers and his friend Captain Jake, they play a cat and mouse game with a ruthless submarine trying to retrieve the weapon first. They get torpedoed but survive by quick thinking and lots of luck. Along with his two friends, Rusty, a fiery red-head and his Indian friend Fuzz, they get drawn into the dangerous world of scuba diving and stolen plutonium. Will Chet be able to rescue the scuba diver trapped underwater, and also disarm the explosives he stumbles upon when terrorists try to sink the admiral’s aircraft carrier?    Later, Chet’s Wyoming fabrication business is hired to build an ionization chamber for a foreign research team. The strange thread design and their payment in diamonds starts Chet to thinking the chamber may have a far more sinister use. With the help of Admiral Hawkins, Chet gets drawn into the dark underworld of international terrorists, nuclear bombs, and stolen diamonds. Things go south when they lose the bomb’s location in the middle east. Will he have enough luck to find the bomb and disarm it in time?

In this sequel to The Guardians, Maxine, the Qatar family, a scholar of antiquities, and three mysterious sisters of the stone travel through time to Egypt 2900 BC, in an attempt to find ancient Guardians they believe came to Earth and built a planetary weapon array. Their mission is to locate the engineer of this ancient weapon so that they can return him and themselves to modern Earth and re-activate the array to use against the imminent attack of a second swarm. Almost immediately, Maxine and company are repeatedly threatened and in conflict with the ancient Guardians they encounter in the past who now call themselves Ra, Osiris, and Baal.

After Osiris attempts to have them killed, Maxine and her companions are forced to flee Egypt, but not before Ra reveals to them that a Guardian named Atlas is the one they must find, as he designed the weapon they seek. In this effort to locate Atlas our travelers go to Greece, and with the help of Baal, they enlist the aid of Poseidon and his Nereid wife, Amphitrite, to create a strategy that could free Atlas from his imprisonment by the reviled Zeus.

This plan requires Maxine and company to engage with yet another Guardian, Leto, and her crew of Titans, and to insert themselves into the aftermath of a civil war while lies, sabotage, and an active volcano threaten to undo everything. Will Maxine and her Guardians succeed, or will they all become trapped in the past and leave Earth defenseless against final annihilation?
