She's got her rules and he's determined to break every single one of them. This new breakout novel by Holly Mortimer explores love after divorce, women in powerful careers and how having it all doesn't always look like what you thought it would. Clementine is the Chief Creative Officer of a successful movie studio because of her strict adherence to her rules: 1. Keep working harder and smarter than any man. 2. Never again date a celebrity like her ex-husband. 3. Maintain a ruthless focus. Career over love. 4. Remember Rule #2. Especially around a certain actor who was voted Hollywood's Sexiest Man over 40. When playboy actor Rhett Montgomery messes up his career enough to warrant going into hiding, Clementine finds herself in the role of his publicist-appointed babysitter. He claims to have been in love with her from the moment he'd first met her at a Hollywood party, but she knows better than to fall for that line. She's older than him, divorced with four kids, and is entirely too career-driven for Rhett to seriously be interested in her. Besides, if she wants to continue rising to the top of her field, her rules must remain firmly intact, which means Rhett must stay firmly in the friend zone...despite how sexy his smile is. But he seems determined to prove to her that he's more than just a pretty face and that her rules are only holding her back from living her best life. Will Rhett convince her that she can have both the career she's worked so hard for and the loving family that she deserves? Or will she sabotage their chance for true happiness?
