Our era is characterised by enormous technological developments. Only a thorough analysis of current scientific thinking will be able to show which aspects of it will be beneficial for future civilisation. The humanities and natural sciences must engage with each other in order to regain access to the reality of a world that today, under the demands of progress in the ‘positive sciences’, has been reduced to mere linguistic descriptions, largely in the form of algorithms. Aurora and Centaur endeavours to reconstruct the epistemology of Goethe’s world view, as elaborated by Rudolf Steiner, in order to combine the rigour of the positive sciences with the creativity typical of the arts. In doing so, Steiner paved the way for the development of anew form of science that is capable of grasping different levels of natural being, including life itself, based on the free activity of the experiencing subject.

At the essence of the huge challenges we are facing today as a global civilization is the question of who we are and what we are being called upon to develop. As is clearly shown in this extraordinarily wide-ranging book, one’s self-image influences how one perceives reality. If we see ourselves simply as advanced animals or pre-programmed robots, the will for self-change and autonomous action is weakened. But if we are willing to extend our rationality and imagination to encompass not only the bodily levels of existence, but those of soul and spirit, everything changes. This extension of scientific method can awaken new levels of strength and compassion in this time of enormous suffering. Such is the ‘sacred mountain’ around which readers are invited to journey during the first three parts of the book. Such too is the ‘lake of self-reflection’ at which, in the fourth part, we attempt to recognize the capacities we have gained through this mighty paradigm, to pioneer new ways through all that is threatening us from the future. It is one of the purposes of this book to demonstrate that we carry both the greatest propensity for destruction of any life form on earth and the greatest capacity for healing. This is because within us is not only an intelligent animal or bio-chemical machine, but a living power of spirit that can be a force both for evil and good. You will not find here a book of ready answers and remedies, but a journey towards deeper insights and a gathering of possibilities and questions that can hopefully bring more meaning and love into our lives, and life-giving forces for health and healing in the world.

A guide for age appropriate use of digital media by children and adolescents for the support of parents, schools and other people affected, with particular attention to the developmental phases of childhood.

"Almost every day you can read somewhere that a fundamental change is needed in schools and the education system..." Dr M Gloeckler. - How do we accompany and support the development of children and adolescents so that they can be motivated to face the challenges ahead? - What skills are needed to solve the global problems of social injustice and deal with the consequences of the ecological economic crisis creatively? - What must the education system be like, that it prepares us as adults to be less moulded to existing conditions and therefore better able to see what needs to be changed for the future? - Which activities in the classroom or necessary so that initiative and entrepreneurial will can develop for the realisation of new ideas? - What does an age-appropriate media education look like, for achieving maturity and competence in working with information technology? Regardless of what problem you are considering: what is needed are courage and confidence, health and a joy for life. But how can school and parental home create the conditions for these qualities to develop? In view of the increasing life expectancy worldwide this is an urgent need, because a healthy physical emotional spiritual maturation is the best prerequisite for a creative life into old age. This book is a plea for radically aligning upbringing and education with what is needed for the healthy development and well-being of children and adolescents - and not aligning at the wrong time with performance goals coming from business and government policy. The author, a paediatrician with many decades of experience, begins with a consideration of what is meant by age appropriate instruction, delving into a detailed discussion of the child as he or she grows through different stages of development, and how the child will grow in health, well-being and resilience if upbringing and education are aware of and an sync with this. As an example, the experiences of Waldorf schools are examined, looking in detail at the growth in each year of childhood and adolescence as it pertains to a holistic curriculum which incorporates education of body, soul and spirit. Dr Gloeckler then considers the effects on health and the causes for illness in adult life if age-appropriateness is not taken into account. She concludes with a discussion of teacher health and health engendering principles that can protect against teacher burnout.Education for the Future is a very informative book and will be of interest for educators as well parents who are interested in nurturing health and human potential in children.

In Corona and the Human Heart, Dr Gloeckler gives new inspiring perspectives on the significant role of the human heart in the development of the immune system, from early embryological growth through to adulthood, and the importance this understanding has for the Covid crisis. The heart is intrinsically involved in the interplay between inner and outer, the dynamic boundary between self and the environment. At the same time it is the centre and life-blood of the human organism, just as the sun is for the living earth. In exploring the wide fields of the heart's functions, Dr Gloeckler sheds light on how immunity is integrally connected with the heart and the inner sense of self. If we disempower the individual through anxieties and fears, or through dependence on outer authority, we reduce the confidence and strength of self; this in turn leads to a significantly reduced ability of the immune system to fend itself against outer influences, such as viruses and other pathogenetic influences. The author leads us on a path showing how by strengthening our inner spiritual life - our inner sun - we will be strengthening our health and immunity, as well as illuminating riddles of conscience and common sense..... "When people follow their conscience and have the courage to speak the truth, even when it is unpopular, without the fear of stigmatisation or exclusion, not only is the immune system strengthened but also people's trust in the future." M. Gloeckler, MD..... "This timely book represents a breakthrough in phenomenological research that will provide far-reaching insights not only to those who are prompted by the current pandemic to ask deeper questions related to health and medical freedom, but also to all open-minded researchers in pursuit of bridging the mind-body divide." B. Furst, MD

Two sisters, closely connected, both active on the spiritual path, both with the ability to translate the spiritual world into words... and then one of them dies.... Ten years later they explore a new connection, and through the conversation that follows we gain new visions into what it means to be human. The insights into the afterlife show us how helpful it is when we finally include this part of the soul's path in our view of life. Departed souls are eager to work more closely with incarnated human beings on present and future challenges, with the interactions bringing potential for deep healing and fertilisation - in both directions.... The themes the two sisters cover in their conversations are direct, detailed and breathtakingly lively and highly topical. They include the increasing difficulties souls encounter in crossing the threshold as influenced by our life decisions on earth, from our materialistic orientations, suicides, to various medications - including the serious and disturbing soul effects coming from the new mRNA vaccines through their ability to penetrate a 'divine script' of our body - and what is needed for healing....The insights Ajra offers on the deep significance and potential of love as a source of strength and growth for our earth incarnations is greatly inspiring, as well as her descriptions of the earth's own potential for development as a spiritually radiating living being which we can learn to interact with.

An essential reference work for evaluating Covid-19 responses as well as for any future health crises... This substantially revised edition of the popular What Covid-19 Can Teach Us provides an updated analysis of the Corona crisis, with invaluable information relevant for any epidemic situation, including:* understanding viruses, the immune-system and resilience, * PCR tests: their reliability and true purpose, * uses and risks of vaccination, * successful alternative treatment approaches, * impact of fear and negative publicity on immunity... Dr Thomas Hardtmuth offers an evidence-based holistic perspective, with the latest science recognising viruses not as 'enemies' but as ubiquitous and vital for human evolution. Physical or psychological imbalances increase our vulnerability to illness, while a focus on health, lacking in Corona narratives, affords real resilience in the long term. Latest research shows how a diverse intestinal microbiome - bacteria and viruses included - is essential for health. The book examines the outer influences which affect this, from diet and medications to the decreasing diversity of species in the environment, reducing our resilience: all of these need addressing...The author urges open discussion on 'all things Corona', getting beyond restrictions placed on debate, with an urgent need to interrogate the unhealthy relationships between politics, business and medicine.

In Beyond Mainstream Medicine, Thomas Hardtmuth, M.D. and Richard House, Ph.D. dive deeply into the very foundations of human well-being, exhaustively detailing what is wrong philosophically and clinically with the current prevailing biomedical paradigm of health and disease; how these shortcomings have been highlighted in the course of the Covid crisis; and what changes need to occur for the radical re-founding of a genuinely holistic understanding of health, illness and healing to occur.

This new edition of a prescient masterpiece was very ahead of its time when first published over 30 years ago, and is even more urgently relevant today, exploring how to get beyond the wheel of victimhood to claim our full adulthood in freedom. Why is it that a sense of freedom and well-being is not a more natural human state? Perhaps we are still hampered by an outdated ‘Newtonian Psychology’ which underpins the belief that something or somebody caused us to be the way we are. Once trapped in an endless chain of blaming, woundedness and guilt, victimhood prevails and adulthood then eludes us.Along with our species’ physical maturity, there must surely be vital aspects of the human psyche which most of us have not, as yet, brought into play. In relinquishing our present framework of thought, and opening to a more extended experience of self, spirit and ego could then be reconciled, with freedom and responsibility becoming an achievable reality. Yet letting go is precisely what we fear most. This book is an exploration of why this should be so – and an invitation to embrace our full adulthood.“It is a real thrill to find the spiritual aspect of holism expressed with such vision and authority” Sir George Trevelyan

Twelve in-depth interviews with philosophers, psychologists, medical doctors and independent researchers interrogate the phenomenon of science per se, and modern medical bioscience in particular – including why today’s medical science is fundamentally flawed from multiple viewpoints. Taken together, these deep conversations examine what’s wrong with modern science, and how it urgently needs to change. Interviewees include Professors Barrie Condon, Brian Martin and David Morris, Drs Katherine Buchanan, Martin Cohen, Thomas Hardtmuth and Ian James Kidd, and psychologists Dr Bruce Scott and Sami Timimi.Humanising Science and Medicine is essential reading for all open-minded scientists and medical practitioners – and for all people concerned about the directions modern science and medicine are taking. How can we create a genuinely humanistic system for supporting human health that is grounded in true, uncaptured science, bringing a holistic perspective to well-being in our narrowly technocratic times? Read this book to find out.

Is there a harmony between heaven and earth? Are we connected with the planets?Since the dawn of time, mystics have talked of a heavenlymusic, audible only on a subtle level. Until recently, the theme of The Musicof the Spheres was taken seriously in many cultures and religions around theworld, and even in music theory. And yet now it has become mute. Or perhaps wehave become deaf. Can we learn how to hear this heavenly music again? This book begins by looking at the Music of the Spheresthroughout history, and how paradigm shifts in consciousness, from mysticism tomaterialism, have reduced the Music of the Spheres to a fanciful myth. But wewill not allow this sound to become a myth so easily. We will instead fine-tuneour listening, exploring physical sound, soul sound and the highly subtlespirit-sound. A deeper understanding of the quality of number will then prepareus to internalise and spiritualise the musical intervals found in Pythagoras’and Kepler’s Music of the Spheres. Finally, a future initiation path ofListening is suggested and described.Through personal anecdotes, listening exercises andphilosophical inquiry, based mainly on Rudolf Steiner’s Anthroposophy, PaulLawrence explores this subtle sound in an exciting and masterly way. Yourappreciation for music and its significance for human and world developmentwill not be the same after reading this inspiring book.
