Mike Buchanan, a British writer and former business consultant, is the author of six books. He's been published internationally by a major publisher (in English and Chinese editions), and he's self-published. He much prefers self-publishing, for a variety of reasons. In January 2010, at the age of 52, he took early retirement and now writes and self-publishes full-time.He developed the model of 'professional self-publishing' outlined in this book. The model has been designed to help self-publishers enjoy their writing more, increase their output of strong titles, and maximise their profits.

A small band of radical feminists has been exercising considerable influence over the British public policy agenda for years, and the Conservative-led coalition led by David Cameron, the prime minister, is enacting The Equality Act 2010: the brainchild of a radical feminist MP from the previous left-wing administration, Harriet Harman ('Goliatha'). The author, who worked for the Conservative party over 2006-2008, employs the full force of his man logic to examine not only gender issues in the workplace - such as the 'gender pay gap' and 'gender balance in the boardroom' - but also other big issues in the modern era. What are women interested in? Why are fat women fat, and why are British taxpayers funding their celebrations of fatness? Why does Fairtrade coffee always taste like mud? And why aren't men revolting?

Women need to start recognising the implications of a simple reality: individuals are promoted to senior positions, not groups. So why are many women seeking to progress collectively through gender equality initiatives rather than through their individual merits? Talented women who reach the boardroom find such initiatives patronising. Some widely-held assertions about the genders in the workplace: - women's progression into the upper levels of organisations has long been hampered by overt and covert discrimination against women exercised by the men (and sometimes the women) already holding senior positions - the 'glass ceiling' - men aren't more likely than women to have qualities which make them fit for senior positions. Women, conversely, are more likely than men to have such qualities, including higher emotional intelligence, consensual decision-making styles...- more women would seek advancement if they felt inspired by more role models (but who will be the role models' role models?)A former business executive with over 30 years' experience in major corporations and business consultancy critiques 30 assertions about men and women generally and in the workplace - including 'the glass ceiling' - and finds them all to be variously conspiracy theories, fantasies, lies, delusions or myths. He reveals the real reasons why more women don't reach senior positions. More gender equality will result when more hardworking talented women recognise that to progress they will have to do so individually, not collectively. How hard can that be? Harder than beating the drum for gender equality initiatives, certainly, but possibly more effective too? Corporations pursuing gender equality initiatives are engaging in a social engineering experiment which could prove ruinous both for them and for society at large. Militant feminists - a small but vocal band of angry women embracing a Marxist ideology, as the book explains - are behind campaigns for gender balance among senior executives. Why are corporations trying to placate a small band of angry left-wing people? The book reviews the state of gender equality legislation in the United Kingdom where David Cameron, a Conservative prime minister and head of a coalition government with the Liberal Democrats, has enacted 90% of The Equality Bill (2010).The Bill was the crowning glory of the career of Harriet Harman, a militant feminist Labour politician.

Extracts from Erin Pizzey's Foreword: 'Mike Buchanan is a very brave man. I've known other men who've tried to draw the public's attention to the damage done by the radical feminist movement. Many lost their jobs and none of them were able to find a publisher for their books. Men have been thrown out of their own houses and unjustly accused of domestic violence towards their partners, and some of sexually abusing their children. The legitimate interests of men in Western society are being systematically assaulted by radical feminists and this book goes a long way to providing the evidence. Men are starting to campaign more effectively for their interests, though they have a long way to go before they halt the tide of radical feminist influence, let alone start to reverse it. Feminists can also expect more challenging from another quarter. An increasing number of women are summoning up the courage to openly criticise them. This shouldn't surprise us, given that the vast majority of women don't share the radical feminists' political ideology. With every year that passes more women become aware of the damage man-hating and family-hating radical feminists wreak on society in general, and women's interests in particular. These women are becoming more vocal, and their number is on the rise - How much more damage will feminists be allowed to wreak before they're more widely recognised as the evil women they are?' This book provides long-awaited answers to over 50 of the most challenging questions in the modern era including: 1. Are you a misogynist if you only hate feminists? 2. What is feminism in the modern era? 3. How do radical feminists view the world? 4. Are feminists less intelligent than normal women? 5. Are feminists less attractive than normal women? 6. Do feminists suffer from PPS (Permanent Premenstrual Syndrome)? 7. Why do feminists deny the different natures of men and women? 9. What are the big feminist fantasies, lies, delusions and myths? 10. Is the pope a Catholic? Do bears crap in woods? Are feminists delusional? 11. How are feminists killing men and women? 12. Are some feminists (e.g. Tracey Emin) a pain in the arts? The book contains a lengthy appendix of quotations.

PLEASE NOTE: The content of this book differs from the content of 'Why Britain Hates Men: Exposing Feminism' (which is solely on sale in the United Kingdom) only with respect to the addition of a Foreword by the British writer, Mike Buchanan: This book is of international relevance. It was first published in Britain only, in October 2011, with the title 'Why Britain Hates Men: Exposing Feminism'. A British readership was anticipated, but to the author's surprise (and delight) orders for the book also arrived from readers in other developed countries, most notably the United States, Canada and Australia. Many of these buyers reported parallels in their own countries, especially with respect to the strategies used by feminists to justify their continued existence and to perpetuate their cultural and political power, now that equal rights and equal opportunities for women have been achieved. Swayne O'Pie refers to the feminist strategies of deliberately creating 'women's issues', 'inequalities' and 'discriminations' as the 'Feminist Fraud', leading to 'Forever Feminism' - a phenomenon found in many developed countries. He concludes that for feminists success will never be enough, they can never allow themselves to be satisfied. 'Exposing Feminism' identifies feminism as the root cause of all the discriminations and disadvantages that men experience in western societies. Its analysis of the feminist agenda is applicable to the condition of men and women in all developed countries. The book is confrontational and O'Pie makes no apology for that. He's a brave man, addressing issues which other writers have feared to confront - the deliberate exaggeration of rape statistics, the widespread influence of lesbian feminism, the deliberate cheating and lying of feminist 'research', the feminists' psychological make-up and their need for anger. His honesty and integrity have made him a figure of hate and a target for the animosity of feminists; his motor home has already been attacked and seriously damaged three times by lesbian feminists (and signed by them). Feminism has become a malign and highly influential ideology in contemporary western societies, and it's astonishing that it hasn't been seriously questioned and challenged - until now.'Exposing Feminism' is a powerful examination of how and why misandry (the hatred of men) spread so easily across the developed world; it shows why men are universally blamed, demonised, and whenever possible, punished. The book's evidence and research exposes the deceits of modern feminism - issue by issue. For all its serious content 'Exposing Feminism' is extremely readable and inspiring, a 'must read' for men and women who've become disillusioned with the feminist movement and the ravages it has caused for thirty years in contemporary western societies. The book is a timely and valuable contribution to the critique of feminism in the modern world. Its eye-opening content is making waves; it deserves to become a bestseller. Mike Buchanan, May 2012

Forty-five years after women's liberationists first laid down their challenge, chanting 'Women demand equality!' and 'I'm a second-class citizen', their narratives are now so universally accepted that few people dare speak truth to the power in the land that feminism has undoubtedly become. However, this book does just that. Opening with a startling revelation in 2014 by Mallory Millett, sister of Kate Millett - a mentally-ill Marxist apologist, and probably the prime mover in the women's liberation movement around 1970 - Their Angry Creed is a detailed expose of the gender class war they initiated in those days.Showing how these activists influenced a generation of baby-boom women - many of whom are now in prominent and powerful positions - to seek a seismic shift in the power balance between women and men, the author explains how they have been spectacularly successful in conforming Western democracies to their Marxist worldview, destabilising their societies in the process, by dividing them along the fault line of gender. And, like in the dystopian communist countries Marxists created, feminists are positioning themselves to become a powerful ruling elite that runs society for its own benefit, building a gigantic gravy train upon which only its members have a ticket.Feminism has never been about equality for women, it has no interest in the liberal Enlightenment ideals of equality of opportunity based on merit and the just distribution of social benefit. Feminism is cultural Marxism. It seeks a communist-utopian definition of equality qua sameness: parity disconnected from achievement through merit and ability; and divorced from skills and attributes. For examples of this in action, we need only look at the power-hungry women who are using this false form of equality to gain equal representation in the boardroom, on no other merit than that they are a female: and in politics, where the British Labour Party's shameless pursuit of positive discrimination through all-women prospective parliamentary candidate short lists amounts to flagrant flouting of the democratic process. We see it in the appointment of women bishops in the church of England, and in the vast numbers of women who are taking over command of the police and the armed forces, where feminists are now even demanding that women take up combat roles. And all this is at the expense of the majority of ordinary women who are struggling to meet a myriad of conflicting pressures, and satisfying none.Feminists, whose principal aim is to overturn patriarchy, seek to replace it with a Marxist matriarchy - the social superiority of women - which they are achieving through the destruction of 'bourgeois' marriage, moving mothers of very young children into the workforce en masse and encouraging them to leave their children's early-years care to strangers who are effectively being subsidised by the state; and reengineering the family as the principal building block of society to exclude fathers who are the embodiment of patriarchy. Warning that the feminist elite's endgame is the final overturning of men's social power, and that we are already well on the way to seeing this come about, the author warns of a coming backlash from men.

The Empathy Gap proposes the thesis that men and boys are extensively disadvantaged across many areas of life, including in education, healthcare, genital integrity, criminal justice, domestic abuse, working hours, taxation, pensions, paternity, homelessness, suicide, sexual offences, and access to their own children after parental separation. The claim is justified in the book by empirical evidence, mostly but not exclusively from the UK, involving nearly 1,000 references, 179 Figures and 49 Tables. To most people, of both sexes, this will appear to be a perverse perspective as disadvantage has become the province of women, girls and minorities, not males. Yet the empirical case supporting the disadvantages suffered by men and boys is undeniable to the objective mind. But if this is so, why is the popular perception that males are privileged whereas disadvantage is the province of the opposite sex? Why do the male disadvantages go largely unremarked, by both sexes, if they are so pervasive?Presenting the case for widespread and substantial male disadvantage is also a challenge to the usual hegemonic paradigm of feminist theory. These issues are addressed within The Empathy Gap by presenting an entirely different orientation on the social psychology of relations between the sexes. Out goes the idea of an oppressive patriarchy. Instead, a man's participation in the human pair bond is seen to be altruistic, a phenomenon arising originally from evolution and enacted in the individual via the emotional psyche. This is the origin of an asymmetry in the perception of the sexes which normalises the preferencing of females and therefore inevitably disadvantages males as a corollary. The successful evolved strategy involves male utility and relative male disposability, the latter being facilitated by a muted empathy for males, by both sexes - the empathy gap. Rather than working to overcome this male disposability, as a true egalitarian movement would have done, feminism has fed upon it and amplified it. The feminist project relies upon the true state of affairs remaining unacknowledged, and the empathy gap is instrumental in its own invisibility. In respect of this theory, the author makes no claim for originality. The ideas presented have been circulating within the sub-culture for decades. However, the focus of the book is to show how these ideas are manifest in practice.
