The inside story of how Trump and the internet’s radical Right shattered the old conservative order and remade American politics. When Donald Trump announced his candidacy in 2015, his blunt and irreverent talk on immigration and American decline shocked the political class. But to millions of voters it felt like long-suppressed truths finally spoken aloud. In Whitepill, Scott Greer traces how forgotten traditions of the Right like paleoconservatism and early internet libertarianism collided with newer digital movements such as the Alt-Right and Neoreaction to forge the intellectual atmosphere that made Trump possible. Drawing on his firsthand experience inside DC conservative circles and his immersion in those online subcultures, Greer shows how the failures of the GOP during the Obama years, and the unconstrained, sometimes too unconstrained, meme culture of the internet, transformed American politics forever. Part history, part insider’s chronicle, Whitepill explains how Trump and the internet shattered the old GOP and what it will take for the new Right to fully transform from rebellion into order.

A bold and meticulously argued blueprint for solving Europe’s immigration crisis, and how nations can reclaim their identity in an age of demographic upheaval. Across Europe, decades of uncontrolled immigration from the developing world have plunged the continent into an era of political and cultural upheaval. The causes and consequences of this crisis have been endlessly debated—by voices on both the left and the right—but few have seriously considered what a politically realistic and morally defensible solution might look like. In Remigration, Austrian writer and activist Martin Sellner presents a clear and unsparing account of how Europe reached this point and what must be done to recover its balance. Far from the caricature of an extremist right-wing demagogue, Sellner writes with restraint and analytic precision. He argues that the continent’s paralysis stems from a “politics of guilt” that made national self-preservation morally suspect and demographic self-replacement inevitable. Sellner’s proposal, while controversial, is both humane and meticulously reasoned: The voluntary return of large numbers of unassimilated migrants to their countries of origin, combined with a renaissance of civic confidence at home, opens the path forward for a healthy Europe. Drawing on existing European and international models, he outlines how such a policy could be implemented peacefully and pragmatically.Remigration offers a warning from Europe’s experience and a mirror for America’s own immigration dilemmas. As the United States faces unprecedented border pressures, Sellner’s analysis raises the question that defines our time: What constitutes the contemporary nation, and do its people have a right to remain themselves?

One Man to Step Into the Darkness Mike Spears is a drifter, a vigilante, an expert in taking down the evil in our world one monstrous incursion at a time. He’s anonymous and low profile because he needs to be. A man with a name only whispered in legend and only spoken aloud in desperate straits. Welcome to the dark places of the modern American west—a west where mythic worlds roam the landscape like so many weather fronts. And when those fronts collide, horror often spills out. Blood-soaked ground. Vanished neighbors. Towns gutted by monstrous horrors no one dares name. The so-called authorities won’t touch this stuff. Most won’t even admit it’s real. But when the last shred of hope is nearly spent, there’s one man who will step into that darkness—and deal with it. Now a true-crime podcaster is closing in on the truth about Spears and the strange world he navigates. Too close. She’s drawn something demonic through the door between worlds—a kill team from another deeply twisted reality. And, if Spears is right, these techno-Aztec operators are only the tip of an apocalyptic invasion set to bathe our land in blood. But first they’ll have to get past Spears.

A revelatory new history from one of Europe’s leading scholars, uncovering how Stalin’s systematic plunder of Germany after World War II fueled the Soviet Union’s rise to superpower status. When the Red Army advanced into Central Europe in 1944–45, its battlefield victory marked only the beginning of a vast Soviet project of domination and extraction. Behind the language of “reparations,” Stalin and his planners initiated one of the most sweeping programs of industrial plunder in modern history. Entire factories, whole industries, research institutes, rail networks, and cultural infrastructure were dismantled and transported eastward, along with tens of thousands of German engineers and specialists, as well as millions of German prisoners turned workers, all constituting the material and human basis for the USSR’s subsequent transformation from a ravaged wartime power into an industrial and military superstate. In Stalin’s Great Raid, distinguished Polish-German historian Bogdan Musial, drawing on never before seen declassified Soviet and Polish archives, offers the first comprehensive reconstruction of this vast transfer of wealth and technology. He situates the looting of Germany within the grim historical cycle that began with Germany’s sponsorship of Lenin’s revolution and continued through the industrial cooperation that had armed the very Soviet power which would ultimately devour its creator. A major work of archival history, Stalin’s Great Raid reframes the entangled destinies of Moscow and Berlin, transforming our understanding of how the Second World War ended, and how the Soviet Union rose from the ruins.

Why the most consequential verdict in modern America got it all wrong. In the aftermath of George Floyd’s death, as nationwide protests surged into riots and American cities burned, the United States entered a moment of mass political hysteria unlike anything seen in generations. The public demand for a conviction of Officer Derek Chauvin was as uncompromising as it was irrational. Evidence that refuted the public narrative was ignored, standard procedures were discarded, and the criminal justice system was perverted. The soul of the nation hung in the balance. But what if the facts didn’t line up? What if the evidence wasn’t there? What if George Floyd’s death had nothing to do with Derek Chauvin?Former Federal Prosecutor TJ Harker reconstructs the infamous case in exacting detail, arguing with airtight reason that Chauvin did not kill George Floyd, while revealing how the criminal justice system was perverted by forces far outside the courtroom. Key questions of causation, evidence, and reasonable doubt were subordinated to the imperatives of public outrage. Prosecutors coached witnesses, outsiders threatened the Chief Medical Examiner, politicians demanded a conviction, and activists threatened to destroy Minneapolis. From the outset, the proceedings bore the marks of a foregone conclusion even though prosecutors had convincing evidence that another man was responsible for Floyd’s death. This book is a study of the consequences of using the justice system to resolve political crises it is not intended to resolve. George Floyd’s death was complex and tragic, but it was nothing like the simplified morality play it was made out to be.Activists, politicians, and opportunists needed Derek Chauvin to be guilty. They needed a white male law enforcement officer to be responsible for the death of an innocent black man. Having established that framework, these activists tied the conviction of Derek Chauvin to a conviction of the United States of America. The verdict: Guilty of murder, guilty of racism. But, Harker shows that Chauvin is not only not guilty, he is affirmatively innocent, while explaining how the rule of law was subverted to find Chauvin guilty nonetheless.
