This book shows a selection of photographs taken between 2019 and 2024. It serves as a collection of what I consider to be some of my most significant photographs captured during that period. I think of photography as a perfect tool to create my very own interpretation of reality – for me personally, a reality that is about beauty, art, and aesthetics, not necessarily technical perfection. I am not interested in capturing the exact likeness of someone or something and long to arrest all beauty and the non-obvious or at least make the obvious not look obvious. By doing so, I seek that ‘in-between’ experience with surreal momentum that escapes the static reproduction of reality. I am intrigued by the interplay between fiction and reality – the subconscious and the conscious – and want to take the audience on a journey through my mind and visual world.

Simulated Lovers is an ongoing multimedia project thatinvestigates how romantic projection, emotional memory, and digital intimacy shape the construction of the self.Drawing from fictional narratives, gaming culture, datingplatforms, and Al companionship, the artist assembles a deeplypersonal archive that blurs the boundary between fantasy andemotional truth.Through fictional icons and real-world collaborations,Beatriz builds a multi-layered portrait of longing in the digitalage. What begins as a search for the perfect other becomes amirror for the artist herself — revealing not only who she hasdesired, but also who she has become throughthe process of imagining them. This body of work presents pieces developed over severalyears, combining video, photography, and digital media. Each one functions as part of a larger narrative — one thatmaps the shifting landscape of desire, vulnerability, and thepsychological architecture of love in the post-digital age.Simulated Lovers is not about romance in theconventional sense. It is about emotional authorship, fantasylabor, and the spaces we construct — both digitally and internally— to make sense of love, memory, and identity.Beatriz Lamarca is a multidisciplinary artist and art directorwhose work intricately weaves themes of intimacy, memory, displacement, and simulation. Her practice spans video, photography, sculpture, writing, and digital experimentationwith Al, all anchored in the emotional architecture of everydaylife and the unspoken narratives we carry, tracing the invisiblelines between touch and distance, fantasy and reality, childhood and transformation.

"A delicate and poetic tale of female intimacy, friendship, and the negotiation of the fluid territory between adolescence and young adulthood.
A territory suspended between impossible identities, in conflict with one another, where no element can find its place, and they all seem to have lost it.
The bodies are caught in a pending state – as if uncertain of how to proceed – with an unrelenting power pulling them upwards, towards young adulthood and a second powerful and untamable force pushing, with equal strength, in the opposite direction, towards childhood – a realm that is fading away without ever truly disappearing. Each one of Guen’s photographs speaks of such push and pull struggle where two bodies at war with one another see in the other, and in their unity, their worst enemy: the obscure object of their desire as well as the embodiment of their worst nightmare."

Kristina 18 is a story about the end of an important chapter, a time that once seemed endless but now exists only in fragments of memory. 18 is more than just a number. It’s the age when I first picked up a camera, capturing the world around me, and it’s also the day I was born. This book tells the story of the people and places that shaped my life in Ukraine, of a world that once felt unchanging. Some places lose their meaning without the people who once filled them, while some faces remain vivid even when time has erased the surroundings. This book is a quiet farewell to a time that has now slipped away. It’s not just about what was, but about the echoes that stay with us—feelings, moments, and absences that shape who we become. This is an attempt to return to where it all began before letting go. Dedicated to the friends we've lost.Kristina PodobedKristina Podobed, is a photographer born in Odesa in 1994, began her artistic journey in 2011. In her work, she explores the theme of the body and its naturalness, capturing sincere and unposed moments. Her approach combines intimacy and documentary style, creating vivid and sensual images. Kristina’s photographs can be compared to poetry—they evoke emotions, immerse viewers in deep experiences, and reveal new dimensions of perception. Like poetry, her images captivate with their honesty and depth, inviting the audience to reflect on vulnerability, self-expression, and the nuances of human experience. Her work stands out for its ability to blend intimacy with openness while maintaining naturalness, attention to detail, and the sincerity of captured emotions. Now Kristina is based in Paris, where she lives with her son and husband and continues creating raw, honest and sometimes mind-challenging imagery.

"Erotish 2 emerges as the continuation of Julia & Vincent’s first opus, Erotish, expanding their universe inspired by the aesthetics of the 90’s/00’s. This new chapter pushes their exploration of contemporary eroticism further by asking a simple question: what feels erotic today ?Darker in tone and more contrasted in vision, Julia & Vincent juxtapose glamorous details with subjects that may seem mundane or unsettling at first glance. Everyday gestures such as brushing teeth, boilling water, or wearing a cast are reimagined and transformed into images charged with desire and fantasy.Throughout the series, beauty collides with decay, reflecting the contradictions of the world around them. The result is a vision that feels both playful and disenchanted, a glossy surface hiding darker undertones where glamour meets fragility and eroticism flirts with the ordinary. With Erotish 2, Julia and Vincent deliver a bold, cinematic interpretation of eroticism today, fantasized, distorted, and infused with the atmosphere of our increasingly complex times.Julia & Vincent are an artistic duo whose work merges the cinematic with the fashion-forward, creating imagery that feels both timeless and unmistakably modern. Fascinated by the beauty of everyday life, they infuse the ordinary with sensuality and glamour. Their bold yet elegant visual language, marked by a rich and distinctive colour palette pushes the boundaries between photography and motion"

“When we were young there were two things wewanted to do. One was to find a place with no before orafter, a place where nothing ever happens, just like heaven. The second thing was to discover a tasty and lastingflavour, high, sweet and shocking red, like a cherry on top,and to celebrate with it the ultimate toast. Now we are grown up, and a third concern frightensus: to leave the freckles behind and search in your eyesthe idea of you.Oh, we are such a bore.”Chus & GregA world tour of youth and teenagers throughphotography and video. A unique style, a reflectionabout youth that passes by very quickly. Too quickly.Chus & Greg have been working together overthe past 10 years on both commissions and personalprojects. They have always shared a common obsessionfor fan movements, coming-of-age and teenage popculture. Their perspective plays with the codes of fashionand documentary photography, always blurring thelines. Chus & Greg imagery verges on the dreamlike andthe ghostly, the realness and the unreal. Their approachto image is ethereal and hazy, almost abstract, bothin their treatment of colours and shapes as in their uniqueway of tackling any subject they capture with their camera.

"In a time oversaturated with images and quickconsumption, Marcus Schaefer’s photographic work standsas a quiet rebellion. It defies easy categorization, resistssuperficial clarity, and insists on depth, ambiguity, andsensation. Spanning more than a decade, this body of work, collected in Marcus Schaefer — Photographic Works2013–2025, is not merely a retrospective, but a portalinto a unique aesthetic universe: one where the knownis made strange, and the invisible is drawn delicately intoview. From abstract portraits and conceptual still lifesto spectral nudes, object studies, and previously unseenstreet and travel images, Schaefer’s photographs speakin visual riddles. They are less concerned with the outerappearance of things than with the inward resonancethey provoke. This retrospective captures the evolutionof that vision across twelve years — a period duringwhich Schaefer’s vocabulary has grown more refined, his experiments more confident, and his voice more assured.Marcus Schaefer is a Paris-based multi-disciplinaryartist working in photography, sculpture and painting. The artist puts the color black at the heart of his work, using it as a central component to his visual messaging. His first book Mapping Subconciousness was publishedwith Patrick Remy Studio in 2024."

These photographs were taken across Ukraine between 2015 and 2020, during spring and summer. They form a collective portrait of Ukrainian youth, and were taken on the way to the sea, along the banks of the Dnipro River to the beaches of the Black Sea; and further, on to the Arabat Spit, a mineral hot spring in a small village near the Sea of Azov called “Shchaslyvtseve”, which means “happy” in Ukrainian.
