Dirk’s Big Boo-Boo tells of a boastful seagull who spends his life swirling and swooping around London Zoo, dipping in and out of the different enclosures. A bird of small brain but large ego, Dirk is drawn into a plan to stage a mass break-out, aided by a friendly rat and a pair of squirrels. As the long summer drought finally draws to an end, dawn breaks on the day of the great escape. Will Dirk lead the animals to freedom? Will he finally get the admiration and gratitude he craves? And how would London cope if the streets were filled with roaming tigers and rampaging elephants?A tale of morality, humour and fantasy, Dirk’s Big Boo-Boo is a story for all ages.
