A Children's Book Council of Australia Shortlisted title "Both author and illustrator have brought the tempestuous story of William Bligh to life in this superb history book, which informs, intrigues and involves the reader by asking questions and upturning incorrect facts and prejudices...This is a fabulous book for children aged nine and up."--Books and PublishingWilliam Bligh: A Stormy Story of Tempestuous Times unpeels the layers of some of the most incredible circumstances in Australia’s colonial history. Some people may have heard of the famous mutiny on the bounty; others may have heard of the rum rebellion coup; but the details in and around these events are largely unknown and truly extraordinary. This narrative non-fiction story about Australia's past is designed to read as "living history.' Beautifully written by Michael Sedunary and complimented with the stunning artwork of Australia’s most prominent ceramic artist, Bern Emmerichs - this is an exceptional book.
