When disaster strikes, the only thing you can count on is yourself!

A winter trip in the remote Michigan wilderness seemed like the perfect way for Jayden to get to know his new foster family. Though he doesn't have much in common with siblings Maggie and Connor, he's hoping they'll get to like each other over snow mobile races and steaming mugs of cocoa. But when the snow really starts to come down, the family van crashes and the three kids must go out into the bleak, white storm to search for help. Soon the wind is howling and night is starting to fall. Jayden, Maggie, and Connor will have to think fast, find shelter, watch out for bears, and somehow stay warm if they don't want to end up frozen in their tracks....

A new chapter book series from Major League Baseball's 2006 National League MVP, Ryan Howard!

The Mustangs were on a hot winning streak and every victory was important. Little Rhino's whole team was cheering for him. Even Dylan was standing on the bench rooting for Little Rhino, the home run hitter. It all came down to the next pitch. When the pitcher threw the ball, Little Rhino swung as hard as his arms could handle, felt a pop in his ankle, and dropped to the ground. That was yesterday. Today, Little Rhino is propped up on the couch with a sprained ankle. The doctor said Little Rhino is not going to be able to play baseball for the next two weeks. Rhino's friends keep dropping by to bring him his homework but Rhino just wants to be back on the field. Can he find a way to help his team without playing?

It all started at the carnival. That is where Joey makes a new friend: a bright yellow balloon. Joey and his beloved balloon do everything together, until the balloon accidentally slips off Joey's wrist and flies far, far away. What will Joey do without his special friend? Seaside Sanctuary is supposed to be a safe place for marine animals, but suddenly dolphins are getting sick - and no-one can explain why. Since Elsa Roth spends all of her time at the sanctuary (a perk of her parents'' jobs there) she''s familiar with all the animals. Elsa is especially worried about Star, a young dolphin she bonded with after seeing him in his wild pen. When the crisis intensifies, it''s up to Elsa to solve the mystery before it''s too late for Star and the rest of the dolphins.

An oil spill in the ocean means destruction for both animals and their habitats - and lots of work for Seaside Sanctuary, where Elsa Roth''s parents work. When pelicans are gravely hurt in the spill and brought into the sanctuary, Elsa and her friends are given important roles in caring for the birds. But the animals can''t be released until their habitat is clean - and the company responsible for the spill doesn''t seem interested in stepping up. Can Elsa and her friends spearhead the clean-up and save the pelicans?

Elsa Roth and her best friend, Olivia, are excited to tag along with Elsa’s mother on a month-long expedition to study the diet of orca whales in the San Juan Islands. But when a young orca is found separated from his pod, things take an unexpected turn. They’re soon caught up in a battle for August, the young orca. A less-reputable aquarium wants him for their facility, while the San Juan Marine Mammal Sanctuary, where Elsa and Olivia are staying, is focused on the whale’s rehab and release—something that’s never been successfully done before. It’s up to Elsa and the rest of the sanctuary staff to keep August safe and teach him how to survive on his own—the whale’s survival depends on it.

Elsa Roth''s life at a seaside marine biology facility is about to change. Summer is coming to a close and there are new arrivals at Seaside Sanctuary: a group of otters. The adorable otters aren''t the only newcomers - a new group of volunteers is also starting at the sanctuary. When Warren, a classmate of Elsa''s, shows up in the group she''s less than thrilled. He''s been nothing but rude to her at school and doesn''t seem at all interested in animals. But soon Elsa has bigger problems on her hands. One by one, the otters start disappearing. Can Elsa get to the bottom of things before more animals go missing?
