Imagine a universe where universities exist to not only train future masked vigilantes to manage their superpowers and develop their heroism, but to master their image in the media. This is the world of Freaks’ Squeele. You'll meet Chance the demonette, Shadow the werewolf stuck in his animal form, and Xiong Mao, the model student who has no powers but is a hard worker. At the Academic Faculty of Hero Studies, these three first-year students will discover the joys of university life, the merciless competition of other students, sadistic professors, and the stress of exams. Part X-Men Academy, part Dungeons & Dragons, this celebrated series by author Florent Maudoux is a unique blend of manga and Western comics, which has spawned multiple spinoffs in its native Europe and beyond.

Shadow, Chance, and Xiong Mao enter the final semester of their first year at Hero University, and their teachers impose a crazy end-of-year project on them. They'll have to step into the shoes of their future enemies and hatch a plan to conquer the world! The prize: a good grade on their report card and safe passage to the next class. As if that weren't enough, they'll have to face stiff competition from the students at rival Saint-Ange School, who don't intend to let their spotlight be upstaged. Continuing Florent Maudoux’s celebrated series.

The penultimate volume of Florent Maudoux’s cult hit Freaks’ Squeele series plunges the heroes into chaos as the gates to the underworld are left open, unleashing demons and ghosts across the city. With the living sword, Claidheamor, trapped below, Professor Funerals leads a rescue team through the seven infernal levels, while Dean Scipio searches for Shadow Wolf and Xiong Mao, who are lost in a romantic outing and suffering from memory loss. Meanwhile, Chance takes matters into her own hands, descending into hell in an uneasy alliance with her rival Ange. As the dean of the Saint-Angelus Academy plots to blame the FEAH Academy for the outbreak, the students must battle monsters, confront personal demons, and uncover hidden truths about their pasts. It’s a wild, emotionally charged volume that mixes mythic descent, romantic tension, and campus warfare in true Freaks’ Squeele fashion.
