Written by Harry Thurston Peck and originally published in 1889, this is a classic tale that is beloved by children and adults alike. Peck was a Latin Professor who wrote mostly on literature and contributed to magazines and newspapers. He also wrote poetry, and of his fiction publications, Mabel''s adventures have proven to be his most popular and cherished story.
