Charles Xavier had a dream - now he has nothing. Orchis' savage strike on Krakoa's Hellfire Gala was more horrifying than Xavier and the Quiet Council ever could have dreamed. Mutantkind has been all but wiped from the face of the Earth - and it's partly Charles' doing! As Sebastian Shaw tries to profit from the tragedy, Exodus steps up to lead his displaced people to a new promised land, but the desert holds many dangers! And Xavier, who swore to stay on Krakoa and defend its memory, is leaving. There must be a good reason he decided to swap one doomed island for another, but dark secrets await him beneath Muir Island! Meanwhile, something is very wrong with Jean Grey - or is it something very right? Being immortal means nothing when you run out of time! Collecting IMMORTAL X-MEN #14-18.

Kieron Gillen returns to the world of X! The Quiet Council are the rulers of the Krakoan age, for better or worse. But now, shaken by INFERNO, they strive to hold their nation together - no matter how much they want to tear each other apart! And IMMORTAL X-MEN brings you inside the room where it all happens! As Magneto leaves the Council, his big shoes need to be filled. Selene demonstrating her foot size by crushing the whole island beneath it is unorthodox yet compelling. Can the Quiet Council resist? Meanwhile, the resurrected mutant seer called Destiny wrote her books of prophecy over one hundred years ago - and a sequel is long overdue! As the Council's machinations grow desperate and Emma Frost prepares another Hellfire Gala, sinister secrets are laid bare - but some secrets are more sinister than others! Collecting IMMORTAL X-MEN #1-5.

Judgment comes, courtesy of the Eternals…and the Quiet Council grows suspiciously quiet. With one notable exception: Do you think a man devoted to Hellfire cares one jot? Let’s find out! Mutantkind has never had a greater fall. From the highs of Krakoa their own glorious nation, a place where they were safe and happy - to the lowest of lows. Outlawed, hunted, most of their kind missing or dead, and now one their greatest leaders, Cyclops, is on trial facing the death penalty. Ready or not, the time has come to make their final stand against the forces that have struck them low - in two different eras! In the present, Polaris returns to guide the X-Men home, bringing a wicked surprise for Orchis! A decade from now, Nimrod and Omega Sentinel are on the verge of summoning their binary god to consume everything in their accession. All that stands against them are the X-Men!
