We have big feelings!
Sometimes we don't know what to do with them or how to change our thoughts that cause these feelings.
Ralphy's Rules for Feelings is a playful, powerful children’s book about emotions and emotional regulation—perfect for ages 4–8. When a bus full of kids faces the first day of school jitters, Ralphy and his wise friend Jackson Johnson, the “Furrapist,” help them understand that all feelings are okay—and how to handle them in healthy ways.
This story is ideal for families, classrooms, and therapists looking for books that teach kids emotional intelligence, self-control, and social-emotional learning. With relatable characters and a reassuring message, Ralphy's Rules for Feelings is a supportive tool for easing school anxiety and helping kids grow in confidence.
Whether used as a read-aloud or a conversation starter, this book encourages kids to name their feelings, talk about them, and choose kind and courageous actions—no matter how big their emotions get.
