Weaving the magic of age-old storytelling with modern queer joy, this collection of traditional Scottish folk tales tells of ghosts, witches, fairies, goblins, selkies, black magic, talking trout, the second sight and, of course, queers! The world of folklore is one in which queer voices have been not only underrepresented but completely ignored for centuries. Within these pages, previously forgotten, hidden, or untranslated ancient tales are brought to light, while others are reimagined and reworked so they can continue to be passed on into modern times. Each epic journey, gentle jaunt, and unexpected adventure explores transformation, acceptance, love, death, the in-between, the misunderstood, and the beautifully unconventional, all while inviting you into the ancient and deeply human stories of Scotland.
