When Curtis and his dad packed up for their first fishing trip, little did they know that a lesson in how to catch a fish would soon become an unexpected adventure: father and son, undoing knots, moment to moment, moving through challenges, together.

In this second book of The Present Parent Dialogue Series, parenting expert Dr. Timothy Dukes reminds you to embrace the obstacles, however big or small. Pause and recognize your reflection in your child's eyes, your heart will teach you everything you need to know about being a present parent.

Along with Fuzzy Buttons, the first book in The Present Parent Dialogue Series, Gone Fishing is a companion to The Present Parent Handbook (Familius) and The Present Parent Dialogues Deck (Nantucket Press). Each book is crafted to support dynamic conversation between parent and child. Together you will bear witness to the inevitable challenges Curtis faces alone and in the shared safe embrace of his parents' wisdom and understanding.
