Ages 9 to 12 years. Who wouldn't want to fly? Despite our unique status as human beings, we do not possess the ability to lift our feet off the land like birds do. Having inspired us to build aeroplanes and helicopters, birds and other flying animals like bees, dragonflies, and mosquitoes have many other skills, too. With illustrations, this book presents geese helping each other in the sky, the secretary bird hunting snakes, woodpeckers digging nests in trees, the albatross with a huge wingspan, and the honey guide co-operating with the badger to feed on the wax of hives.
