I was born in 1952. I am a mother of four children and a grandmother to two grandsons. Ive been married twice, a widow now. My inspiration comes from the people around me. I have written other stories; I just have not published them. They say there is a time for everything. You have to be ready when that time comes. I must have been ready.Being creative is how I spend my time. I am a quilter, painter (walls, mostly), an artist, a writer. I love to read fantasy, science fiction, and just plain fiction. My favorite stories are Companions and Dragons of Pern. I dont believe in smoking, drinking, or drugs. Life is too short to go about making it shorter. I live half the year in Washington State; during the other half, I work in the Grand Teton Park behind the scenes. When your little ones tell you stories, listen to them. They are where inspiration comes fromfrom building a birdhouse, planting a garden, or creating an imaginary world.

While rain pours and lightning streaks across the sky, now it is up to Jessica to find the girls shelter, tend to Ashleighs injuries, deal with the after-effects of a landslide, and somehow find a way to get help.In this compelling childrens tale, a girl who finds herself in the midst of unexpected and frightening circumstances with a friend must rely on resourcefulness, perseverance, and the spirit of cooperation in order to save both of them.

This book is for all parents: those who are pregnant, those who already are gifted with children and those future mothers and fathers just waiting for a special soul to make their life complete. For the latter, this book can be used daily for mediation and as a tool in asking for that special little person to choose us to be their parents. For those who have already been blessed with little ones, this book can be used as a valuable reminder for them as to who they are, where they are and what their purpose in life is. We are so busy reacting to external situations in our ever-changing world that we often forget who we really are, smothering ourselves in a blanket of stress and anxiety over things that dont really matter. The ever-observant child will learn to mimic how we deal with situations, carrying the same heavy blanket with them and can in turn lose track of what really matters, who they are and their real purpose in life. This book is about shedding those unnecessary layers to reveal our true selves so that through successful relationships we can share our love, happiness, peace, truth and strength with each individual we come in to contact with. Please do not underestimate the capabilities of a child. Whether he or she is 6 years old, a newborn baby or a young fetus, they all can hear us and they all feed off the love we show them. Every child, whatever their age, needs us to love them unconditionally, care for them and to be good role models. Practice this by reading the book to your loved ones, wherever they may be. I wish you the very best and I am grateful for this opportunity to share all my love, happiness, and strength with all the parents and children in this world, and beyond. Dr. Vijaya Chetty

My name is OMalleyBoots to the family I adopted when they moved into the military quarters at Ft. Totten, New York, that had been my familys ancestral home for many generations. This is the story of another one of our many adventures together.I had never ventured far from home, but thanks to Sandy, the youngest member of the family, I was able to enjoy one of the Most Important Days of my life. I was secreted away in Sandys backpack and taken on a trip to the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York to attend a football game. He knew that I love to march to military music, since I practice with the children in my family and their friends every Saturday morning on the parade ground in front of our house. Most cats do not get involved with that type of activity, but for me it is an absolutely thrilling experience.Once we arrived at West Point, I met Colonel, another military cat, who was kind enough to show me around and to explain some of the history of the Academy. He also provided the opportunity to take part in my favorite activity. This was a truly inspiring day and reminded me of the sacrifices that so many young people make to serve our Country in order to ensure that we continue to enjoy all of the freedom that we often take for granted.
