Upon being reincarnated into a fantasy world, Ryo wants to live out his days in peace with his newfound water magic. He can only conjure a cupful at a time, but it’s enough to eek out a comfortable existence—or so he thought. The powers that be cast him into the wild outlands with nothing more than a humble shack, a single knife, some food...and abilities that are yet beyond his comprehension. The area is overrun by monsters and there’s nary another human in sight. Ryo must now figure out how to survive above all else, but he’s ready to take bulls, boars, and a whole host of other monsters by the horns if it means seizing the life he wants for himself. Each new victory brings a new challenge, but what could a fateful encounter with a headless horseman, a dragon, and a castaway swordsman have in common? They’re the first steps on a grand journey that will take Ryo beyond the borders of all he knows to become the greatest water magician the world has ever seen—one adventure at a time.

Ryo is delighted to be reincarnated into the fantastical world of Phi, where he thinks he’ll get to live a quiet life learning to use his newfound water magic. Going with the flow here, however, means something very different. Ryo is immediately pitted against the wild lands he winds up in and the slew of deadly monsters that call the remote subcontinent home.

You’d think he’d forget about taking it easy when he’s stuck fighting for his life, but lucky for Ryo, he’s naturally optimistic, clever, and blessed with the hidden “Eternal Youth” trait. Twenty years pass in the blink of an eye, and each encounter along the way pushes him one step closer to the pinnacle of human magic. Little does he realize that’s only the opening chapter of his tale. A fateful meeting soon thrusts Ryo to the forefront of history, forever changing the course of his life...

Thus begins the adventures of the strongest water magician the world has ever seen—who also likes to do things at his own pace!

Ryo’s life does a 180 after arriving in the city of Lune, where he spars with an expert sword-wielding elf, takes on guild jobs with Abel (his partner-in-adventuring), Abel’s party, and his roommates, and much more! Ryo never could have imagined discovering a whole different side of this new world!

But then monsters spill out of the dungeon in droves and plunge the city into an unprecedented crisis. When Abel and his party set out to investigate, they’re forcibly transferred to the lowest level of the dungeon. There, they encounter a life-and-death situation against devils—creatures who eventually awaken as demon lords. The Handalieu Federation’s meddling and a confrontation with the Inferno Magician ratchet tensions up even more...

With the dangers racking up one by one, Ryo finally gets serious?! “I won’t let you lay a single finger on this city or my friends.” Here comes the explosive second volume recounting the adventures of the strongest, freewheeling water magician!

Ryo is living his best second life in Phi and doing as he pleases. Ever the adventurer, he accepts an escort job for a merchant heading to the Principality of Inverey. Unfortunately, he forgot to withdraw money before leaving the Kingdom of Knightley, so he finds himself at a complete loss in its capital and penniless in a foreign land. In order to return to Lune where all his friends are, he takes on another escort mission, this time back to the Kingdom of Knightley...or so he thought! The job actually has him acting as the body double for a prince being targeted by assassins, but then the real prince ends up kidnapped anyway?!

A major power’s ulterior motives and the real reason the prince is being targeted lurk in the shadows. However, to each and every problem that falls in his lap, Ryo’s solution is always simple: “I’ll bury anyone who gets in my way in the permafrost!” The adventures of the strongest freewheeling water magician continue in this frenetic third volume!

After escorting Prince Willie to the capital of Knightley, Ryo feels a weight lift off his shoulders. He’s even managed to secure a position teaching the young prince how to use water magic. Life couldn’t be better!

Before long, Ryo and Sera happily go on a sweets tour together. The two of them bond as they visit the other elves, but after they go their separate ways, a horde of monsters emerges from underneath the Temple! And then while he and Abel are trying to find the cause of this outbreak, an “island” falls from the sky and crashes right through the royal castle! As one crisis crops up after another, Sera struggles to protect her friends and is attacked by a powerful opponent.

“Do you really think I’ll let you hurt the people I care about?!” Ryo will use his superhigh-pressure water currents to stave off a scheming enemy nation that has bared its fangs! The adventures of the strongest, freewheeling water magician continue in this frenetic fourth volume!

Back in Lune, Ryo is trying to reclaim his cozy life when he receives a sudden summons from the guild master and learns that thousands of imperial troops have invaded the Kingdom of Knightley. What does Ryo do? Panic, of course! But not Abel, who knows that skirmishes of this magnitude are pretty common, so the Kingdom wastes no time deploying twenty thousand soldiers of its own. When a betrayal from within rocks Knightley’s ranks, the enemy’s forces continue their momentum into the Kingdom, and the royal capital falls in just one day. At this rate, the Kingdom looks like it will become another vassal state in the Debuhi Empire’s vast holdings—not to mention how much danger the new crown prince is in! To protect his friends and country, Ryo must eliminate the invaders. Hell-bent on reclaiming the throne, he and his allies set out for the battlefield on Gold Hill. The prologue to the adventures of the strongest, freewheeling water magician reaches a spectacular climax!

After arriving in the city of Lune with Abel, Ryo finds himself leading a completely different life than the one he had in the literal middle of nowhere. He’s exploring the dungeon with his fellow newly minted adventurers, searching for alchemical texts in the library, and just generally letting his interests lead the way. He couldn’t be happier with city living! So then how exactly does he end up fighting an akuma...?! His Ice Wall might as well be flimsy paper to her. Could the secret to defeating this unprecedentedly powerful enemy be found in his special hot water...? Find out in the third manga volume of the adventure featuring the strongest water magician who just wants to live life at his own pace!

Portents warn of a Great Tidal Bore—a calamity that strikes once every decade wherein monsters surge up from the depths of Lune’s dungeon. The signs have been growing stronger day by day...but the easygoing Ryo never notices, immersed as he is in his hobbies. And then, it finally happens while he’s holed up in the library seeking more knowledge about alchemy!

The guild and its adventurers fight off tens of thousands of goblins. Just as they find themselves exhausted by the seemingly never-ending battle, the goblin king appears. How will Abel and his comrades handle this unforeseen enemy...?! Find out in the fourth manga volume of the adventure featuring the strongest water magician who just wants to live life at his own pace!
