This young woman turns out to be Diana Eimoor, daughter of the Eimoor comital family and the sister of someone Eizo has met many times: Marius, the city guard! Wait, Marius is a nobleman?! Though he’s stunned by this realization, Eizo agrees to help solve House Eimoor’s succession dispute by forging Marius a new family heirloom sword. However, danger looms when Marius’s brother launches a deadly plan to secure the countship for himself. This master requests that the family eliminate a terrifying monster—a beast corrupted by stagnant magic that is devastating the forest and its inhabitants. As someone who lives primarily off the land, Eizo feels indebted, so he readily accepts. But...who exactly is this master? And how do they know about Eizo’s previous life on Earth?! The family is excited to have this warm new addition to their household, but how does Lluisa feel about spirits encroaching on her forest? Meanwhile, Eizo receives a mysterious knife in the mail. Though the quality is poor, the form looks eerily similar to a Forge Eizo blade—the fake even has the fat cat insignia engraved on the pommel! Who would do such a thing?
