At the prestigious Tokyo Metropolitan Advanced Nurturing High School, which aims to produce the country's future leaders, students are given remarkable freedom. However, they also have to deal with a point system that decides one's place in the school's hierarchy! Ayanokoji Kiyotaka has landed at the bottom in the scorned Class D, where he meets Horikita Suzune, who's determined to work her way back up to Class A, and Kushida Kikyo, who seems like she only wants to make friends. Can they advance through this school where cutthroat competition is the name of the game?

“NOW THEN, LET'S BEGIN A REAL MERITOCRACY.”From their humble beginnings as Class 1-D, Horikita and her classmates are ready to begin their third year as Class 3-A! But there's no time for celebrating--the battle is far from over. With only one year left until graduation, even the smallest failure can pull them off track. Not only will they have to fight harder than ever, they'll have to do it without their most influential student: Ayanokouji Kiyotaka. Amid the chaos of losing Ayanokouji to Class C, Horikita’s class finds themselves faced with one cruel truth: if they can’t defeat Ayanokouji, they don’t stand a chance to graduate from Class A. Do they have what it takes to remain on top, or are they doomed to fail? Class is in session for the highly anticipated Year 3 of the hit light novel series that inspired an anime and manga!

EVEN THE MIGHTY CAN FALLThe End-of-the-Year Special exam ended with a huge shock, but that was only the beginning. Amid the chaos, Ayanokouji decides to make some changes of his own, but an unexpected appearance by his father puts him on edge. Just what is that man scheming—and how will it affect Ayanokouji’s future?

RISE TOGETHER OR FALL APARTNow recognized as the leader of Class C, Ayanokouji works on deepening his relationships with his new classmates. Meanwhile, a mysterious new exam is announced, and the only scraps of information the students are given are: “a new exam will begin starting tomorrow” and “details will be announced in a week.” Without a clue to work off of, Class C immediately starts brainstorming what the exam might entail and how to tackle it. Class A, on the other hand, can’t seem to get back on track following the damage dealt to them at the start of the term. Can Horikita work together with Karuizawa, Kushida, and Ibuki to unite their classmates and dominate in the upcoming exam, or will their place as Class A slip from their grasp?

But Ayanokouji's Christmas plans with Karuizawa fall through when she comes down with the flu, leaving him to spend the holidays alone... Meanwhile Ayanokouji himself seems to have become the subject of gossip and speculation, as his classmates wonder: is he hiding something?

A TALE OF TWO CAFÉSIt’s time for the school’s first-ever Cultural Festival! Some refuse to participate, but the rest of Ayanokouji’s class secretly works to build the maid café of their dreams. But as this goes on…what business does Ayanokouji have with Kanzaki and President Nagumo?

100 QUESTIONS, 100 ANSWERSThe final special exam of the semester is on the horizon: a cooperative written test where students answer problems in turn. Horikita’s class is up against Sakayanagi’s, and everyone rushes to prepare. As this goes on, Nagumo poses a question of his own—who will be the next student council president? The candidates are Horikita and Ichinose...or are they? Does Ichinose have other plans? December may be the end of the year, but the school’s new state of chaos is only beginning.

A CLASS CRACKS UNDER PRESSUREThe results of the Unanimous Special Exam weigh heavily on Ayanokouji's class. Kushida, Hasebe, and Wang haven't come to school in days. But time marches on, and when details of the Sports Festival are announced, Horikita's opponents disrupt the planning meeting. The class is now behind before the games can even begin! KEEP YOUR FRIENDS CLOSEDespite the school’s tampering, Class C made it through the special exam without anyone being expelled. NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCKAs Ayanokouji and his classmates begin their second year at the Advanced Nurturing High School, they’re greeted by a fresh gauntlet of exams and a fresh batch of rather unique first-year students. They’ll have to get to know each other quickly, because the first special exam pairs the first-years with the second-years on a written test—with only the second-years facing expulsion if their team performs poorly! Worse yet? It seems one of the new first-years is also from the White Room. Can Ayanokouji avoid expulsion while sussing out the identity of this hidden foe?
