The Oxford Reading Tree Green Sparks series explains and illustrates the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals in an age-appropriate way. The series supports development of all reading skills by combining phonic progression with essential vocabulary, as well as extending the reader's comprehension of the issues around sustainability in global and local contexts. This will boost general knowledge and subject-specific vocabulary, as well as promote learner engagement and student wellbeing. Get the Bag! follows the journey of a reusable shopping bag as it is taken to the supermarket by a girl and her mother. At the supermarket, they try and find food in more sustainable packaging. This story focuses on UN SDG 12 Responsible consumption and production.
