Phonics Bug – serie

Bug Club Phonics is a DfE approved phonics teaching programme that gives children a firm, fun foundation in phonics. It uses research-based teaching methods so it's proven to work, and its range of 100% decodable books provide the ideal way to get today's little readers started on their journey to reading success. 

Bug Club Phonics books are ideal for use at home too, and are a great way to help your child take their first steps towards 'cracking the code' which will enable them to learn to read and spell. 

Helpful notes on the inside front cover of each book highlight tricky words and give you ideas for before and during reading, and the inside back covers include ideas for delving deeper after reading to check understanding. 

Based on the CBBC TV series, Alphablocks Pack 1 is great for encouraging your Foundation Stage early readers. It contains 4 fiction books - It is a Din!, Pop! Pop! Pop!, Is it a Rock? And A Big Mess. Suitable for children age 3-5.   

It is a Din! 

I is making too much noise. The other Alphablocks put her in a pan, but she makes more noise by tapping it, so the others make her nap!

Pop! Pop! Pop! 

O starts to nap, but then P appears. She makes lots of words with O, who gets cross as he cannot sleep. O makes a cot for P and he finally gets his nap.

Is it a Rock?  

C and K find a rock. They each try to break it, but only manage to do so by joining together to make it crack. The rock is actually a dinosaur egg!

The Alphablocks make a bath tub. It fills up and overflows with soapy water, until they do word magic to switch the tap off.
