    En oerhört fängslande, faktaspäckad och avslöjande bok! Ehrman sammanfattar flera av sina tidigare böcker och visar att Bibeln inte bara innehåller smärre motsägelser utan också fundamentala sådana där Jesus hela budskap, hans ursprung och betydelsen av hans död och uppståndelse tycks skilja sig radikalt.

    Men Ehrman går även in på vem den historiske Jesus troligen var och vad han lärde ut, vem som skrev Bibeln, och hur den ortodoxa kristendomen växte fram ur sitt judiska ursprung genom att förvanska Jesus ursprungliga budskap och genom att förtrycka konkurrerande uppfattningar som t.ex. gnostikerna.

    En mästerlig sammanfattning som kommer intressera, fascinera och provocera alla med intresse för Bibeln, Jesus och kristendomens ursprung!
