Dr. Mihir Kumar Purkait is a Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, Assam, India. His current research activities are focused in four distinct areas viz. i) advanced separation technologies, ii) waste to energy, iii) smart materials for various applications, and iv) process intensification. In each of the area, his goal is to synthesis stimuli responsive materials and to develop a more fundamental understanding of the factors governing the performance of the chemical and biochemical processes. He has more than 20 years of experience in academics and research and published more than 300 papers in different reputed journals (Citation: >16,500, h-index = 75, i-10 index = 193). He has 12 patents and completed 43 sponsored and consultancy projects from various funding agencies. Dr. Manish Kumar Sinha is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University, Gandhinagar (PDPU), India. Before joining PDPU, he has received his PhD and M.Tech in Chemical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati after completing his B.E. in Chemical Engineering from Bharati Vidyapeeth University, Pune, India. His research work is dedicated to synthesis of stimuli responsive material and use these synthesized material for the modification of polymeric membranes. He has also studied on fouling tendency as well as different mitigation techniques to reduce the fouling of polymeric membranes and developed mathematical modeling of fouling. He is also working on water purification using hybrid technique of membrane filtration with electro-coagulation. He has published 11 research papers in international scientific journals like Journal of membrane Science, Desalination, RSC advances etc. Piyal Mondal is a post-doctoral research associate in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, India. His research interests lie in green synthesis of metal nanoparticles for real life applications. Dr. Randeep Singh is a distinguished biochemical engineer and Associate Professor at SR University, India. His research in membrane science and smart materials focuses on sustainable wastewater treatment, desalination, and clean energy generation to advance the circular economy. He holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from IIT Guwahati, an M.Tech. from NIT Tiruchirappalli, and a B.Tech. in Biotechnology from Kurukshetra University. His core academic work centers on designing smart membranes for environmental and biological applications. A global scholar, Dr. Singh has held prestigious postdoctoral fellowships in Taiwan (TEEP) and South Korea (NRF). He previously served as an Assistant Professor at Yeungnam University, South Korea, where he spearheaded the development of advanced membrane technologies for clean energy production and water purification. An active contributor to the international scientific community, he has presented at numerous conferences, delivered several invited lectures, and received accolades including the Young Scientist Award at ISC-2015. Dr. Singh serves as a reviewer for leading international journals and a member of prominent professional societies, including the Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers (IIChE), the American Chemical Society (ACS), the Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE), and the International Association for Carbon Capture (IACC).
