    Vem var egentligen Jesus? Guds son? En galning? En myt? Ehrman föreslår ett annat alternativ: domedagsprofet, likt dagens Jehovas vittnen. Skickligt, kunnigt, inlevelsefullt och med god humor sammanfattar den lärde bibelhistorikern Jesus-forskningen och drar sedan sina egna logiska slutsatser som säkerligen får mången djupt religös att skruva sig obekvämt i mysfåtöljen.

    Det är ett mycket gott betyg åt Ehrman att lyckas få ett så dogmatiskt och kufiskt ämne som Jesus att bli spännande och underhållande som en skicklig detektivroman när han lägger pussel med bibelevangelierna och med listiga metoder försöker gräva fram den historiska Jesus som ligger dold i mytbildning och kristen dogma. Rekommenderas varmt!
