His work involves advanced pelvic floor surgery, medical education and research into urogynaecology.Sir Sabaratnam Arulkmaran is Professor Emeritus of Obstetrics & Gynaecology at St Georges, University of London, and Visiting Professor, International Health, Imperial College, London. He is president of the International Federation of Obstetrics & Gynaecology (FIGO) and past president of the British Medical Association (2013-2014) & Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists (2007-2010).
