Specialty Competencies in Psychoanalysis in Psychology

In its evolution, psychoanalysis has become a broad spectrum of theories making use of an approach that can be considered psychoanalytic in that it is based on the existence and importance of unconscious motivation. In Specialty Competencies in Psychoanalysis in Psychology, Morris, Javier, and Herron discuss and delineate the functional and foundational competencies of psychoanalytic practice. The book is designed for all mental health professionals and will be very helpful to psychologists seeking to strengthen their background in psychoanalytic theory or treatment. Additionally, individuals who aspire to specialize in this area of professional psychology will find it invaluable. Because the authors describe these complex theoretical ideas in terms of practical competencies, this book also makes for an especially useful guide for teaching students.Series in Specialty Competencies in Professional PsychologySeries EditorsArthur M.
