Recensioner i media
“Benjamin Kahan boldly rewrites the history of sexuality, beginning from the provocation that scholars of sexuality have been so focused on sexual object choice that they have overlooked sexual aim. In moving us from the who of desire to the what and how of sex, Kahan gives us a new and far richer understanding of fantasy, sexual practice, desire, and sensation. This is an understanding that is attuned to the nuances of gesture, movement, and arrangements, and the sexual meanings they can contain, and that attends to sexual practice with care and a necessary subtlety. This book is necessary reading for scholars of sexuality across field and discipline.”
