Military, State and Society in Pakistan

HASAN-ASKARI RIZVI is Professor of Political Science at the University of the Punjab, Lahore, and Quaid-i-Azam Professor of Pakistan Studies at the School of International and Public Affairs, Columbia University, New York (1995-1999). He has written extensively on South Asian politics, security and foreign policy in professional journals and newspapers, contributed articles to edited volumes and served on editorial advisory boards of journals. His books include Pakistan and the Geostrategic Environment, The Military and Politics in Pakistan and Internal Strife and External Intervention.
