    Michael L. Hardman is Distinguished Professor Emeritus of Special Education and Dean Emeritus of the College of Education at the University of Utah. He also served as the University’s Chief Global Officer, Interim Chief Academic Officer, and President-Emeritus of its Asia Campus Board of Directors. Dr. Hardman has numerous experiences within education and public policy, including appointments as a Kennedy Fellow and Senior Education Advisor to the Joseph P. Kennedy, Jr. Foundation; Legislative Staff to the United States Senate; and a member of the board of directors for several international organizations. He has directed and consulted for international research, training, and demonstration projects on school improvement and policy for USAID, OECD, and UNICEF. Dr. Hardman has published widely in national and international journals and has authored (or co-authored) over 100 national publications, including journal articles, federal/state grants, and book chapters, as well as ten college textbooks, of which two are in their 13th and 9th editions, respectively. M. Winston Egan is Professor Emeritus and past Chair of the Teacher Education Department at the David O. McKay School of Education, Brigham Young University. He has taught learners from preschool through high school and began his work in special education at Utah Boys Ranch, an experience that shaped his lifelong commitment to supporting youth with diverse needs. Dr. Egan has published in numerous respected journals, including Behavior Disorders, Journal of Teacher Education, Teacher Education and Special Education, American Journal of Distance Education, Journal of Special Education, Rural Special Education Quarterly, and Teaching and Teacher Education. He has received multiple honors for excellence in teaching, including Professor of the Year from the Blue Key National Honor Society at Brigham Young University and the Excellence in Teaching Award from the University of Utah, and has been recognized as an associate of the National Network for Education Renewal. His professional interests include youth development, teacher socialization, education for democracy, emotional and behavioral disorders. Dr. Clifford J. Drew was Professor Emeritus of Special Education and Educational Psychology at the University of Utah and previously held faculty positions at the University of Texas at Austin and Kent State University. He also served as Associate Dean Research and Outreach in the College of Education, and as Director of Academic Outreach and Continuing Education at the University of Utah. Dr. Drew earned his master’s degree from the University of Illinois and Ph.D. from the University of Oregon. He published extensively on topics, including intellectual disabilities, research design, statistics, diagnostic assessment, cognition, legal evaluation, and information technology. His professional interests included research methods in education and psychology, human development and disabilities, applications of information technology, and outreach in higher education.
