Antonios C. Kokossis serves as the co-director of the National Technology Platform for Sustainable Chemistry, a National Representative of Directorate I (Climate Change & Environment), Affiliate of IEA Bioenergy and EERA Bioenergy, and the Greek Delegate of the Computer Aided Process Engineering (CAPE) group of EFCE. Dr. Kokossis received his Diploma in Chemical Engineering from National Technical University of Athens, Greece and Ph.D. degree in Chemical Engineering from Princeton University (USA). His expertise includes process systems design, modelling, process integration, and optimization. He published academic papers extensively and has consulted with the process industry including UOP, Bayer, Mitsubishi, Eastman, MW Kellogg, BP Oil, Uniliver and more recently, with biorefineries and small companies on renewables Michael C. Georgiadis is Honorary Senior Research Fellow, Department of Chemical Engineering, Imperial College London. He holds a PhD from Imperial College. His research areas encompass Energy Systems Engineering; Energy Planning and Scheduling; Energy Saving Techniques for the Process Industries; Supply Chain Network Design and Optimisation; Techniques for Project Scheduling; Advanced Process Control of Energy and Production Systems; Modelling , simulation and Dynamic Optimization of oil and gas processes; Computer-Aided Process Design and Synthesis; Design and scheduling of Batch and semi-continuous Processes, Production Planning. Emphasis on food, specialty chemicals and pharmaceutical processes; Optimisation and Control of Drug delivery systems; and Modelling of Biological Systems. Stratos Pistikopoulos is the Director of the Texas A&M Energy Institute, and a University Distinguished Professor holding the Dow Chemical Chair in the Artie McFerrin Department of Chemical Engineering at Texas A&M University. He holds a Diploma from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and a Ph.D. degree from Carnegie Mellon University. His research focuses on modelling, data analysis, multiparametric control and optimization of energy, process and systems engineering & automation applications.
