Dr. Hakeem is a Professor at King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and Head of the Plant Biotechnology Research Unit at the Princess Dr. Najlaa Bint Saud Al Saud Center for Distinguished Research in Biotechnology. His academic journey includes roles as Assistant Professor at the University of Kashmir and research appointments in Malaysia. He holds a Ph.D. in Botany from Jamia Hamdard, India, with expertise in plant eco-physiology, molecular biology, biotechnology, and medicinal plant research. He has authored numerous books, journal articles, and book chapters, and serves on editorial boards for leading publishers. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Biology and affiliated with international scientific societies. His work focuses on advancing plant science through global collaborations and research on eco-physiological and molecular processes. Professor Faisal Alzahrani currently works as a faculty member in the Department of Biochemistry at King Abdulaziz University and serves as a principal investigator in the Stem Cell Unit at the King Fahd Medical Research Center. In these roles, he leads pioneering studies on stem cells and their applications in various fields including cancer, longevity, and infectious disease. Professor Alzahrani's research efforts have yielded remarkable results, which is evident from his record of publications. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed papers. In addition to his academic pursuits, Professor Alzahrani extends his knowledge and experience to practical applications. He provides valuable advisory services on scientific and academic matters and actively collaborates with startups in the biotechnology and healthcare sectors.Dr. Islam M. Saadeldin is an Associate Professor at King Saud University, Saudi Arabia and adjunct associate professor at Zagazig University, Egypt. He received his Ph.D. degree from Seoul National University, South Korea in 2012. He was a visiting scholar at Niigata University, Japan (2008), and also served as a post-doc fellow at Seoul National University, South Korea (2013-2014). He has been awarded the Asian Universities Alliance (AUA) Scholar Award and a visiting professorship to Seoul National University, South Korea in 2019. He has a patent of invention (The Korean Intellectual Property Office) regarding embryo transgenesis through piggyback transposons. He has authored more than 80 SCI/SCIE papers covering the fields of advanced biotechnology such as somatic cell nuclear transfer (SCNT), therapeutic cloning, genome editing, transgenesis, assisted reproductive techniques (ARTs), adult stem cells, and embryonic stem cells, as well as elucidating the roles of exosomes in pathophysiology and embryonic-maternal crosstalk. In addition, he focuses on comparative cellular defence against extreme hyperthermia, and the relation with cellular anastasis, and cellular resilience. He serves as an Editorial board member of various journals and an associate editor and associate editor for various journals.
