    Beskrivning

Nanomaterials Perovskites Oxides and Halides Catalysts: Applications in Sustainable Catalytic Processes delivers a comprehensive introduction to the dynamic world of perovskite-based nanomaterials, emphasizing their use as highly effective catalysts. The book is structured into four well-defined sections, beginning with an accessible overview of fundamental concepts, material properties, synthesis techniques, and innovative design approaches. Readers are guided through the essential processes that underpin the development of these advanced materials, providing a solid foundation for understanding their significance in modern science and technology. This resource is invaluable for those seeking to deepen their knowledge of perovskite nanomaterials and their catalytic capabilities.

The following chapters highlight perovskite-based catalysts in energy-related applications, including fuel cells, batteries, supercapacitors, and chemical conversion reactions. The book further explores their contribution to chemical conversion processes and environmental solutions such as pollution control, water purification, and advanced sensing technologies. By offering key strategies for designing nanomaterials with enhanced structural qualities, it serves as an essential guide for researchers and professionals in materials science, environmental science, renewable energy, and chemical engineering.

    • Discusses strategies for designing novel perovskite-based catalytic nanomaterials with improved structural properties
    • Provides an overview of perovskite-based nanomaterials as efficient catalysts, with an emphasis on chemical conversions and their applications in environmental remediation and the energy industry
    • Includes a look at current challenges for industrial application of metal alloy catalytic driven technologies

    Mer om författaren

Peter R. Makgwane is currently a Full Professor at the University of South Africa (UNISA) Institute of Catalysis and Energy Solutions (ICES). He previously worked as a Principal Scientist (2011-2023) at the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR, South Africa), focusing on catalysis and advanced energy materials. He is a prominent scholar in heterogeneous photocatalysis and electrocatalysis with extensive publications of articles, including six books with major publishers, Elsevier, CRC Press, Taylor & Francis, and Wiley, on advanced materials design and catalytic processes for sustainable energy, renewable chemicals, and environmental catalysis.Hanfeng Liang is an Associate Professor at the State Key Laboratory of Physical Chemistry of Solid Surfaces at Xiamen University, China. He earned his Ph.D. from Xiamen University in 2015. Prior to joining Xiamen University, he was a visiting scholar at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, USA, and a postdoctoral researcher at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology, Saudi Arabia. Dr. Liang's research interests include the rational synthesis of nanomaterials and functional coatings, with a focus on their applications in electrocatalysis and aqueous energy storage. He currently serves as an Assistant Subject Editor of the International Journal of Hydrogen Energy and sits on the (youth) editorial boards of several journals, including The Innovation, Chinese Chemical Letters, Exploration, Catalysis Communications, Tungsten, and Materials Futures.Bhalchandra M. Bhanage is the Head and Professor of Industrial and Engineering Chemistry in the Department of Chemistry at the Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai, India. He obtained his PhD from the National Chemical Laboratory, India, in 1995 and subsequently held various positions at Tohoku University and Hokkaido University in Japan. Prof. B.M. Bhanage’s research focuses on the green synthesis of nanomaterials and their applications across various fields, with a focus on catalysis. He has made significant contributions to catalysis for the activation of small molecules such as carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, and hydrogen for various reactions. Additionally, he has developed novel strategies for reactions including Heck, Suzuki, Sonogashira coupling reactions, their carbonylative forms, hydroformylations, aminocarbonylations, alcoxycarbonylations, aminations, hydrogenations, among others. Prashanth W. Menezes is Head of the Materials Chemistry Group for Thin Film Catalysis at CatLab of Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin für Materialien und Energie and the Inorganic Materials Group at the Technical University of Berlin, Germany. His research focuses on the design, development, and structural understanding of novel unconventional catalysts in heterogeneous catalysis, especially in the area of redox oxygen catalysis, (photo)electrocatalytic water splitting, as well as electrochemical redox reactions.
