    Beskrivning

Hydrogen Subsurface Storage: Experimental and Simulation Methods explores the principles, methods, and processes of underground hydrogen storage (UHS) technologies. This book provides an overview of UHS technologies and types of underground storage sites then delves into the details of reaction processes within hydrogen-rock-fluid systems, fluid flow mechanisms in porous rock, and innovative numerical simulation techniques essential for predicting operational efficiency. Readers will find guidance ideal for reservoir engineers, scientists, and students in the field of subsurface gas storage. Sections highlight the complexities of underground hydrogen storage technologies, equipping users to navigate the challenges and advancements in this rapidly evolving field.

    • Compares underground hydrogen storage technologies to mature technologies like underground natural gas storage for benchmarking
    • Explores hydrogen-rock-fluid system reactions and fluid flow mechanisms in porous rock to enhance storage efficiency
    • Reviews mathematical models for predicting hydrogen seepage in porous rock using numerical simulation technology for operational efficiency forecasting
    • Clarifies existing technology shortcomings and future prospects for large-scale, safe, and efficient underground hydrogen storage
    • Offers fundamental guidance on site selection, experimental processes, and operational evaluations for researchers, engineers, students, and various stakeholders in subsurface hydrogen storage
