    Beskrivning

Advanced Cancer Therapeutics: Strategies and Technologies for Targeted Drug Delivery explores the heterogeneity of tumors and microenvironmental factors that influence cancer treatment and contribute to drug resistance. The book discusses critical elements such as tumor stroma, vasculature, pH, hypoxia, and enzymatic activity that impact therapeutic efficacy. Sections cover advanced drug formulations, including supramolecular systems, metal-organic frameworks, and nanomedicine, focusing on their roles in selective drug delivery for early detection, diagnosis, and treatment of various cancers. In addition, it reviews the current status and future perspectives of these formulations, highlighting their potential to enhance therapeutic outcomes while minimizing side effects.

Readers will also find discussions on the limitations of nanocarriers, along with regulatory and ethical considerations related to anticancer formulations. This resource is invaluable for researchers, clinicians, and students, offering insights into the latest advancements in drug delivery systems.

    • Presents an extensive examination of various advanced drug formulations, including nanomedicine, supramolecular systems, and metal-organic frameworks, highlighting their roles in targeted cancer therapy
    • Emphasizes the significance of the tumor microenvironment and heterogeneity in influencing drug resistance, providing insights into how these factors affect therapeutic efficacy and treatment outcomes
    • Analyzes the limitations of current drug delivery systems, discusses regulatory considerations, and explores future perspectives in anticancer drug delivery
