    Beskrivning

Endocrinology of Aging: Clinical Aspects in Diagrams and Images, Second Edition continues to be a comprehensive reference on endocrinology in relation to the aging process emphasizing the unique manifestations that accompany advanced age. It highlights the distinctions between traditional clinical endocrinology approaches and those that specifically consider the physiological changes associated with aging. This narrative also takes into account the patient's journey as they transition from young adulthood to elderly status, underscoring the importance of age as a critical factor in both diagnosis and endocrine management. By focusing on these elements, it aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of how aging influences endocrine health and the necessary adjustments in clinical practice to accommodate these changes. The work is a valuable friendly and quick reference guide, suitable for the practical clinician treating elderly patients with endocrine diseases, and for medical educators and students. The book holds a wide audience and will be especially useful for medical specialists in Endocrinology, Geriatrics, Internal Medicine and Family Physicians.

    • Includes practical applications such as diagnosis, treatment, and management of various conditions that can be applied in clinical settings
    • Presents framework from basic principles to specific disorders to guide readers through a structured learning path facilitating better comprehension and retention of complex concepts
    • Provides interdisciplinary connections including topics on nutritional status, obesity, and transgender medicine and their implications for aging and endocrine health
