Ann Rule wrote thirty-five New York Times bestsellers. Her first bestseller was The Stranger Beside Me, about her personal relationship with infamous serial killer Ted Bundy. A former Seattle police officer, she used her firsthand expertise in all her books. For more than three decades, she was a powerful advocate for victims of violent crime. She lived near Seattle and passed away in 2015.

   Drottningen av true crime

   Ann Rule skriver här en ganska enkel historia som tyvärr saknar personlighet och förmågan att fängsla. Kanske är det helt enkelt lättare att vara involverad när man är personligt bekant med mördaren som hon var i fallet med Ted Bundy? Randy Woodfield tillhör inte heller kategorin högintressanta seriemördare såsom Bundy, Gacy eller Dahmer och man ställer sig väldigt sällan frågan - Varför? Randy är inget psykologiskt pussel som biter sig fast precis. Jag rekommenderar istället Ann Rules The Stranger Beside Me om man är intresserad av true crime.
