Covering the period between the date of the Rig-veda (around 1200 BC) and the first century AD, the text provides a highly readable narrative containing key events and figures, together with numerous illustrative figures. A short bibliography and chronological table are included at the end of the book. This work will be of value and interest to both historians and historiographers.
