Beskrivning
This volume challenges the myth of the nuclear family and opens up a richer, more diverse conversation. Across its chapters, contributors explore how biblical texts reflect a wide range of family structures, shaped by the ancient societies from which they emerged and resonating with global cultures today. Rather than reinforcing a single model, the volume celebrates the multivocality of family in scripture. As traditional notions of family shift worldwide, this book equips scholars, students, and readers to rethink how family is portrayed and understood in New Testament texts. Each essay interrogates critical assumptions and offers fresh perspectives on kinship, community, and belonging—making this a timely and relevant resource for anyone engaging with biblical studies in a global context.
