Mark Yarhouse is Associate Professor in the Doctoral Program in Clinical Psychology at Regent University, Virginia Beach, Virginia. Dr. Yarhouse received his Psy.D in Clinical Psychology from Wheaton College.Erica S. N. Tan is in clinical practice at Eden Counseling Center in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Tan holds a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Regent University.

I am becoming increasingly convinced as I have taught human sexuality and pursued a special interest in the issue of homosexuality for over twenty years that identity is the key to understanding and addressing the experience of same-sex attraction. The work of Mark Yarhouse and Erica Tan has provided significant support to and affirmation of personal identity as central to the understanding of and effective work with same-sex issues, both in research and clinical practice.
