Anesthesiology and the Cardiovascular Patient

This work contains the edited presentations of the 41st Annual Postgraduate Course in Anaesthesiology, February 1996. The chapters reflect data and concepts within the general framework of the pathophysiology and management of surgical candidates with cardiovascular disease. The textbook should serve as a vehicle to bring many of the latest concepts in anaesthesiology to those who did not attend the conference. Each chapter focuses on areas of interest in anaesthesia. This volume, as well as past and future volumes, reflects the rapid and continuing evolution of anaesthesiology in the late 20th century.
