Bloodstained Path To God

Why are there so many sacrifices in the Bible?

As you read through the Old Testament, you''ll quickly realize that in Old Testament times, worship was very different from what we know today. Why did God give his people so many laws to follow? Why did he command them to offer sacrifices and burnt offerings? What was the point of it all?

The Bloodstained Path to God offers you two unique ways to learn about this interesting time period:

• First, the authors give a basic explanation of the biblical laws, focusing on the yearly cycle of festivals and sacrifices God commanded his people to offer.
• Second, using a series of short stories, the authors illustrate what Jewish family life was like in the Old Testament. These stories emphasize the impact of God''s laws on day-to-day life and what worship was like at the temple in Jerusalem.
