Lukacs's Road to God

Argues that Georg Lukacs's early critical works, Soul and Form and The Theory of the Novel, constitute efforts to escape from the neo-Kantian epistemological dilemma by a leap of faith to messianic religion. Applies this argument to the work of other literary critics, including some of the American New Critics. Co-published with the Center for Advanced Research in Phenomenology.
