After centuries of research, turbulence in fluids is still an unsolved problem. The graduate-level lectures in this volume cover the state of the art of numerical methods for fluid mechanics. The research in this collection covers wavelet-based methods, the semi-Lagrangian method, the Lagrangian multi-pole method, continuous adaptation of curvilinear grids, finite volume methods, shock-capturing methods, and ENO schemes.
