He has worked for both the public and private sectors in Southern Africa. He is currently a Professor in Construction Project Management, researcher, invited speaker, founder and director of the Centre for applied research and innovation in the built environment (CARINBE) based at the University of Johannesburg.Erastus Mwanaumo holds among other certificates a PhD, MSc and BSc specialising in Engineering, Project and Construction Management. He is former Vice President for the African region of the Chartered Institute of Building. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Building (FCIOB), a registered civil engineer, construction Project manager, Chartered Surveyor with Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyor (MRICS) and member of the Dispute Resolution Board Foundation.
