    Beskrivning

Green buildings are designed to reduce their environmental impact over their entire life cycle. This book provides an overview of the principles of green building and energy-efficient systems including benefits of green buildings, the different types of green building rating systems, and the various energy-efficient systems that can be used in buildings. It includes case studies (India’s Green Building policy) of green buildings and energy-efficient systems.Illustrates the green building concept and approach toward green designExplores the role of green buildings for society and sustainabilityDescribes energy-efficient Heating Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) and low-power Internet of Things (IoT) devices in buildingsDiscusses a design example of green buildings and quantitative figures for measurement of green buildingsIncludes technologies, illustrations, and applications supported by examplesThis book is aimed at graduate students and researchers in energy and civil engineering and architecture.
